Then, apply today as you might be the Systems Engineering Team Leader we are looking for in Devices Systems Engineering (DSE) which is part of Devices & Delivery Solutions (DDS)! The position As a Team Leader for a Systems Engineering, you will be managing one of three systems engineering teams of 10-14 professionals and play a crucial role in maintaining and developing needed capabilities in Systems Engineering (SE) supporting the DDS Strategy. You will report to the director of Systems Engineering and work closely with the 5 other team leaders in SE to manage project allocations, capability building and to set direction and operationalize the strategy for the team. Some of your main responsibilities include to:
  • Set direction and cultivate high performance and engagement through the empowerment of the team, leading by example, and building trust.
  • Ensure resource allocation to our development projects.
  • Prioritize the critical few and assign work appropriately.
  • Managing stakeholders internally and externally.
  • Be accountable for planning and execution of the technical deliverables in the device development projects covered by Systems Engineering.
  • Together with the Systems engineering manager team set the future direction for systems engineering in novo Nordisk.
  • As part of our team, you will have the opportunity to give and receive constructive feedback and share your experiences to further develop together as a leader. Qualifications To be considered for this position, we expect you to:
  • Hold a master's degree in engineering or any other technical relevant field.
  • Have previous experience with product, device, or manufacturing development ideally from a systems engineering perspective in a regulated environment (preferably from medical devices, pharmaceutical industry).
  • Have 1 - 4 years of line management experience combined with the ability to give and receive constructive feedback.
  • Project leadership would be a great asset but not a pre-requisite.
  • Be fluent in English, both written and spoken.
  • As a person, you are reflective with leadership aspirations and skills. You are a proactive team player who is energetic and likes to challenge the status quo while focusing on solutions and opportunities. You have a demonstrated ability to identify better practices and create improvements in methods, techniques, and approaches. Your empathy and assertiveness make you a role model for others, and you are not afraid to make bold decisions. You can build and manage networks easily. Finally, you have good mentoring and training skills along with a positive mindset. About the department We are around 40 highly skilled professionals and specialists divided into three teams responsible for Systems Engineering in DSE. Systems Engineering underpins most aspects of medical device development, so our work is integrated into various processes within the development and manufacturing landscape and our stakeholders have backgrounds in a variety of engineering and scientific disciplines. Systems Engineering is part of DDS and we are passionate about developing the world’s best medical devices for the treatment of chronic diseases within our focused therapeutic areas: Diabetes, Obesity, Haemophilia & Growth hormone disorders. We design and develop delivery systems for our treatments to ensure correct dosing and convenience for the patient. Our devices are developed in close collaboration between patients and the scientific discovery teams at Novo Nordisk. This ensures that the developed devices are safe and easy for the patients to use while being compatible with the drug products taken into development.
