As (Senior) Category Manager you will be responsible for maintaining and developing category strategies as well as the execution of the subsequent global sourcing projects of moulding tools. You will work cross-functional supporting across three Corporate Vice President (CVP) areas within Product Supply
Your main focus include: Driving strategies within moulding tool category, capacity forecasting and behaviour in the category and day-to-day work Managing supplier development, supplier selection processes and ensuring the development of the supplier base Collaborating with suppliers and internal senior stakeholders, building sustainable relationships Facilitating the process of measuring the supplier network on capacity, delivery, quality and cost Conducting yearly global Business Reviews with suppliers Being responsible for contracts and purchase orders within the category as well as supporting execution of Capacity Expansion projects Our suppliers are located primarily in Europe, and Asia, hence you should expect up to 20 days of travel per year. You will play a key role in bridging the needs of the organisation and the capabilities of the suppliers, creating the best supply solutions for Novo Nordisk. With this in mind, you will apply a balanced approach to quality, delivery and cost, as the beacon that guides you through a complex landscape of business-critical decisions. This position holds ample opportunities for personal and professional development and will quickly establish you as one of the go-to persons within your area.
Qualifications To be considered for this position, we imagine you have: A master’s degree within Engineering, Business or any other relevant field combined with a previous experience in either Procurement, Strategic Sourcing or Category Management Excellent stakeholder management skills Strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of numbers Strategic and commercial mindset as well as the ability to quickly understand different business models and industry dynamics Fluency in English (both written and spoken) It would be considered an advantage if you are familiar with the medical devices or pharmaceutical industry and are used to work with suppliers. As a person, you are confident when navigating in big organisations. You can impact decision making through clear recommendations, always founded on solid data and analysis. Since the job requires you to create a broad range of trustful relations across and beyond Novo Nordisk, we expect you to be an outgoing person with a constant focus on business ethics and a strong personal drive and dedication as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

About the department Device Manufacturing & Sourcing (DMS) is the global unit in Novo Nordisk’s Product Supply division, responsible for global production of prefilled and durable medical devices for Novo Nordisk’s worldwide production. With our in-house production and through collaboration with our global suppliers networks, we ensure availability of components and devices that helps millions of people around the world to live with chronical diseases.
