The position Your role as our QC Chemist is to enhance the methods and introduce new or better equipment for testing raw materials, excipients, and primary packaging materials for all our production facilities. You will have the opportunity to be a Subject Matter Expert in applied analyses and associated equipment, playing a key role in improving processes and supporting our digital transformation journey. Your key tasks encompass:
  • Providing laboratory support and reviewing analysis documentation
  • Handling deviations and addressing Out of Specification cases
  • Updating procedures and documentation to ensure compliance and efficiency
  • Digitizing data by implementing initiatives like automatic transfer from equipment to LIMS
  • Qualifying and integrating equipment related to analyses, including verifying and validating methods
  • Qualifications To be successful in this role, we imagine you:
  • Hold at least a bachelor’s degree in natural sciences, biology, pharmacy, or related scientific field
  • Demonstrate practical experience in a comparable role within a regulated industry
  • Exhibit proficiency in operating within a GMP environment, preferably within a QC laboratory
  • Showcase excellent communication skills, effective prioritisation, and adept stakeholder engagement
  • Display fluency in both spoken and written Danish and English
  • It would be considered as a strong advantage if you possess broad knowledge of chemistry and experience with spectroscopic analysis methods such as UV, NIR, Raman, or FT-IR. About the Department You will be part of the Sourcing QC department, which is responsible for ensuring the quality of raw materials, excipients, and packaging materials for Novo Nordisk's productions. The department consists of approximately 110 employees divided into 5 teams: two chemical teams, one chromatographic team, and two packaging material teams, all located in Hillerød. This position is in one of our chemical analysis teams, which is responsible for the chemical analysis of materials using a wide range of methods, but specialised in spectroscopic analyses, such as UV, FT-IR, NIR and Raman. The team consists of 18 people, including laboratory technicians and chemists, with a strong sense of commitment and team spirit where we care for and help each other.
