As Manager, you lead a team that takes the responsibility for and support stable deliveries from our new assembly & packaging lines. The assets are located at our global CMOs across Europe, Asia and USA. You will be playing a pivotal role in how we shape our ongoing and future expansions across a fast-growing network. For lines in the project stage your team participates or drives factory and site acceptance tests and performance qualification. For lines in operation your team plays a key role during the ramp up phase before they support the normal continues improvement track together with the supplier. Your role will be to ensure we always have the right team, formation and structures to ensure we drive an efficient network that delivers according to our commitments. Additionally, you ensure seamless collaboration between your team, your colleague in a similar position, our device design organization, and global contract manufacturing partners.Your key activities include:
  • Managing and mentoring a team of experts to support global contract manufacturing operations, with a focus on ramping up initiatives and new device introductions

  • Developing and implementing strategies to optimize collaboration and performance

  • Overseeing the coordination of activities between internal teams and external contract manufacturing partners for new device introductions

  • Ensuring compliance with industry regulations and quality standards in all aspects of the manufacturing process related to setting up and running our equipment at CMOs

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement in manufacturing processes and outcomes

  • Providing leadership and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of growth and development

  • Furthermore, you coordinate the hiring of the future supporters and experts to keep up with our expanding network. Qualifications
    To be successful in this role, we believe you:
  • Hold a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, coupled with proven experience in managing teams and ramping up support in a manufacturing or related industry

  • Demonstrate in-depth understanding of global contract manufacturing processes and best practices, particularly related to new device introductions

  • Showcase strong leadership and communication skills with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams

  • Have knowledge of industry regulations and quality standards related to new device introductions

  • Display proficiency in both spoken and written English

  • On a personal level, you excel in collaborating with cross-functional teams and external partners, fostering smooth cooperation and building strong partnership. You are not afraid to make decisions and set clear directions, engaging and motivating your team to drive successful results.     GCM Devices is a newly established functional area in Novo Nordisk that consists of around 200 people. We are responsible for all external production of pen needles, components and sub-assemblies for [xxxxx]’s pen systems, as well as for the license to operate and technical support to our CMO for device assembly and packaging.From this department, we manage a network of more than 25 contract manufacturers in Asia, Europe, and the Americas, and the expected growth of [xxxxx]’s new drug products is driving the need for more further expansions at existing and new contract manufacturers to reach more patients.You will become part of a truly international team, where colleagues are eager to exchange knowledge, as well as gain insights from your expertise.
