Are you energized by interacting with many different stakeholders from various parts of the world? Are you looking for an opportunity to use your skills to optimise manufacturing equipment and products? Then you might be our new Lead Engineer at our Novo Nordisk production site in Hjørring called Needle Manufacturing & Sourcing. The position As Lead Engineer, you will play a key role in our pen needle development project. You will support the project manager and project group in securing the project scope and technology selection and ensure implementation of engineering and safety standards. Your primary tasks will be: Leading the technical project progress in alignment with the project manager Facilitating activities to transform requirements into work packages through workshops together with technical experts and process responsible Taking a central role in supplier and technology selection, system design, FAT/SAT-activities, installation, qualification and verification of equipment Technical ad hoc tasks, e.g. designing, building or programming the test and production equipment Writing rationales and argumentation to document compliance with guidelines. You get the opportunity to work with the latest technology, vision systems and robotics together with experts, project managers and suppliers around the world. Qualifications To be considered for this position, you have: M.Sc. or B.Sc. within mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, marine engineering or similar Experience within manufacturing equipment development or technical project management within Medical Device or Pharmaceutical industry Knowledge of automation and robots which will be preferable but not a prerequisite 2+ years of experience An iterative and agile work style preference Self-motivation and a proactive work style Proficiency in English About the department You will be part of the Needle Manufacturing Development department in the New Product Introduction team and have 15 dedicated colleagues. Our mail responsibilities are: Establishing manufacturing equipment for new products Being a key partner to R&D within manufacturing development for new products Planning and execution of projects on our site in Hjørring Product Maintenance on the needle portfolio. The team is part of Needle Manufacturing & Sourcing which is overall responsible for the global end-to-end supply chain of Novo Nordisk's pen needles including both internal and external production, quality assurance, and manufacturing development.
