What you will do
The role is a Subject Matter Expert (SME) function for the general Global Marine & Navy business. Involved in maintenance and development of automation designs and digital service technologies, in accordance with strategy and in specific large-scale projects with high turnover, high order probability and obsolescence solutions.
This role supports our strategy to increase earnings through digital services and as an enabler to focus and improve the marine design of automation solutions and development of digital services and general business digitization initiatives. The position will work in interaction with the organizations Managers and SME’s. The position interacts with marine teams already working with projects, involving the positions focus areas. In addition, the goal is to interact (network) with the broader JCI organizations, that has focus on automation product, business development for digital service and connected technologies.
You will be a part of a highly competent team based in Aarhus. You will join our Marine team and you will have reference to the Director, Global Marine & Offshore Services. The working environment is busy, engaged and focused on delivering world class products on time. The daily communication is informal, humoristic, and direct. How you will do it
- Support to the organization in business development activities. SME for automation solutions, manage initiatives in digital services, and act as a general adviser on cost effective solutions during sales, project development and design
- Interface towards the Sourcing functions and participates in supplier meetings and sessions as automation SME
- Continuing analysis of the existing products and range – advising on product strategy, conceptual designs and competitiveness
- Develop communication material and training as included in the operational plans
- Communicate product releases, technical information’s, etc
- Secure updated marine market and competitor product information’s
- Participate in JCI product development forums and influence future designs
- Responsible for developing and maintaining products (materials, documentation, price-lists etc.)
- Establish, develop and maintain close relationships with internal/external customers
What we look for
Required
- Educated Electrical/Electronic/Automation Engineer on minimum B.Sc level or similar skills that allows you to understand the Marine Automation business
- Experience or desire to develop personal skills in Product Management
- Entrepreneurship and product knowhow on B2B level – Industrial or Marine products
- Efficient, structured, analytic, flexible and ability to prioritize without losing track or momentum
- Strong English communication skills
