Your role as System Specialist
Working in collaboration with both business experts, end users and solution architects, you will design, configure, support and document solutions supporting critical business processes, primarily in the Product Supply area. Your focus will be business process expertise, acting as Global Process SME, with a deep knowledge of the SAP platform in PP-MM-WM business processes to be able to support and guide the SAP consultant team.
You will be involved in SAP projects in the Product Supply area, starting by the implementation of our current SAP template in ALK´s distribution hub located in Madrid. This is one of the most challenging SAP set ups in our company, deploying the latest updates to all the PS modules.
Also, you will be part of preparing ALK’s journey to S/4 HANA, helping the company to make a successful transition in all our productive sites over EU and US.
Finally, you will have hands-on and participate in our SAP Governance process, together with our business in shaping up ALK´s capabilities for the future.
A strong drive and project participation skills will be a big plus as well as experience in system validation and regulated GMP environments. Compliance and documentation are a part of our mindset, so experience and demonstrated ability to achieve compliance in an effective and useful way is a requirement.

Fields of responsibility
- Support design, qualification and implementation of applications for business processes in Product Supply area and upgrades
- 2nd and 3rd level support, troubleshooting, interfaces and master data
- Work with Product Supply organization to ensure applications are implemented correctly and with high quality, and to identify innovative solutions to business needs
- Ensure good documentation and testing practices
- Provide solution analysis and advise to business stakeholders
Your qualifications
As a candidate for the role you have:
- An education in computer science, business administration, engineering or similar.
- Knowledge of SAP PS related modules. Specially PP – MM – WM – serialization. Your role is not to be the specialized functional consultant but having experience on this position is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to drive upgrades and improvements, and to communicate and align with stakeholders
- Experience with computerized system implementation in GXP environment. Pharma background and experience is a plus
- Ability to design and maintain effective system management processes
