In the newly established position as a Group M&A Manager you will play a central role in realizing our ambitious growth plan by supporting several M&A projects globally across the group. You will join a highly experienced and driven team with an established track-record of completing successful serial M&A. The role will report to the Group EVP for Corporate Development and require frequent interaction with the Group CEO and the Board of Directors, working in close collaboration with the broader SGL team in an environment based on our cultural virtues of respect, integrity, entrepreneurship and fun.
Your primary responsibilitiesYour primary responsibilitiesStructure and manage our global pipeline of M&A targets leveraging input from advisors and the deeply rooted SGL global network. Drive internal analysis of priority targets and develop summary materials for initial discussion at Group level and with the Board of Directors, including synergy identification, financial modelling, valuation and other strategic decision-making aspects. Coordinate due diligence processes assuming overall responsibility for process coordination across both internal stakeholders and external advisors. Synthesize final investment cases for approval at the Board of Directors. About you
A strong team player who has experience within adjacent M&A roles to be able to operate with a high degree of independence, supported by the senior leadership team on industry related topics. We envision an individual with following or similar qualifications:About you3-5 years of full-time experience from an investment bank, management consulting firm or a similar role within corporate M&A – experience with transport & logistics is a plus but not a requirement. Knowledge of and experience with the major parts of an M&A process including initial target screening, business case development, due diligence execution and integration. Highly self-driven project management, execution, and stakeholder orchestration skills. Solid analytical and problem-solving toolkit with focus on structure and execution efficiency. Collaborative mindset with ability to maneuver in a large international organization.
