About the role
We are seeking an 800xA Application Specialist to join our Process Automation team consisting of approximately 50 skilled and dedicated professionals in our automation department. As a team, we provide consultancy, development, implementation, and validation of automation solutions for the pharma and biotech industries.
Your role will be key in, not only joining current projects, but also leading the technical development of our tools, standards, and application libraries. You will engage in strategic discussions, support department management, and help steer our technical development towards future goals.

As a DCS Application Specialist, you’ll:
- Advise customers on their selection of Automation Solutions.
- Design, develop, implement, qualify, and support Process Control Systems (PCS/DCS).
- Interact with process experts and colleagues with expertise in surrounding systems and equipment such as MES, Historian systems, instruments, and production equipment.
- Develop and optimize Automation Methods and Strategies to meet our customers’ challenges and share state-of-the-art knowledge with colleagues and partners.
- Form the basis of Automation Strategies and Architectures to support our sister departments internationally and expand NNE’s Process Automation engagement.

The miles you’ve walked
In all positions there are some things that are needed, and others a bonus. We believe these qualifications are needed for you to do well in this role:
- An engineering degree in Automation, Computer Science, or a similar field.
- A minimum of 8 years of working experience with PCS/DCS systems, preferably 800xA, PCS7, SattLine, or DeltaV, preferably within the pharmaceutical industry under GMP and GAMP regulatory requirements.
- Project experience from cross-disciplinary work is considered an advantage.
