Creative Lead



We are looking for an experienced Creative Lead to join our Brand Team, located in Copenhagen or Stockholm. Get on board the rich design history of one of Scandinavia’s most iconic brands and ensure the next leg of our journey becomes our most successful yet. Our Brand Team is responsible for the overall brand strategy, visual and communicative expression, product and service conceptualization and brand activations.

As Creative Lead you will lead a team of highly skilled and talented creatives. You will be responsible for the leadership, development and management of SAS’ creative expression and design management. You will work collaboratively across the organization to ensure effective communication and visual cohesiveness across all platforms and throughout the customer journey. You will work to maintain SAS´ position as Scandinavia’s most preferred airline by driving brand related KPIs and Net Promotor Score (NPS).

Main responsibilities



  • Lead SAS’ in-house creative agency as they provide brand right support through the production of communication concepts and marketing materials for brand and tactical campaigns as well as for internal clients.
  • Provide leadership and mentoring to employees in reporting chain, utilizing best practices as a people manager and organizational leader as well as attracting new talent
  • Create and foster a creative, efficient and collaborative team spirit
  • Manage buget, prioritize projects and work with stakeholders across the organization
  • Set the creative and design vision and strategy for SAS
  • Lead the development and execution of an omnichannel creative direction and design strategy across every touchpoint of the customer experience including, but not limited to ad campaigns, airport eperiences, onboard experience, digital experiences and brand collaborations
  • Lead by example in terms of best in class creative expression
  • Manage and evolve the visual identity and tone of voice of SAS
  • Identify and connect with strategic design and creative partners to grow the brand
  • Identify, negotiate with and manage relevant agencies and vendors
  • Represent SAS from a creative perspective at conferences and events


Your background & skills:



We are looking for a seasoned creative professional to join our team. You will have a strong portfolio showcasing your creative expertise and a deep understanding of how brands grow. You should be result-oriented, with a focus on delivering effective and impactful creative expressions. Flexibility, innovation, and creativity are essential qualities for this role, as well as proven leadership skills.

  • Minimum 8 years relevant work experience
  • Has proven leadership skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, design, communications or work experience and qualifications corresponding to these programs
  • Minimum of one Scandinavian language fluently, as well as ability to speak and write proficiently in English
  • Flexibility, innovation and creativity are essential qualities for this role
