DIGITAL SYSTEMS SPECIALIST - SAS CARGO
Over the last years we have seen increasing demand for cargo services worldwide. Demand is projected to continue increasing and the industry is facing a rapid digital transformation.
SAS Cargo has been successful in capturing the growth in the market and is an enabler for the profitability of SAS long haul operations. To secure a successful future it is of highest important that we constantly drive transformation that unlocks value and enables quick responses to business opportunities and customer-, colleague- and partner needs.
We are therefore now looking for an experienced and structured Digital Systems Specialist (DSS) with strong communication- and stakeholder management skills.
Our DSS’s are responsible for designated IT-systems and applications and ensures well-functioning systems at all times as well as development of new features to support the future business needs.
To achieve this, the work is performed in close collaboration with DSS colleagues responsible for other IT-systems and applications.
As such, the DSS’s at SAS Cargo are a key component in our transformation journey.
You will have the opportunity to interact with the whole and global SAS Cargo organization and learn widely about the airline and air cargo industry. You will be part of the Digital & IT department, who is responsible for SAS Cargo´s vital IT solutions and the execution of Projects.
You will report to the Head of Digital & IT.
Primary areas of responsibility
- End-to-end IT-systems and application responsibility spanning from tactical focus to operational activities
- Ensure operationally well-functioning systems at all times through incident-, problem-, change- and service management by applying structure, proactive actions, use of best practices and processes
- Actively securing alignment and priorities with business colleagues, setting the service vision, managing the backlog and system roadmap, representing the team in common forums for alignment and follow up on KPI’s
- A driving force on securing development of the right features to support the future business needs in close collaboration with business stakeholders, Vendors and Partners
- Partner- and supplier management and communication
- Financial budgeting and follow-up on designated IT-systems and applications
- Contribute to the overall digital transformation program in SAS Cargo
The IT-systems and applications in scope for this recruitment depends on the candidate profile.
Experience and Qualifications
- Higher academic education, bachelor or preferably master’s degree in computer science or equivalent
- Fluent in speaking and writing in English. Fluency in one of the Scandinavian languages is an advantage
- At least 3 years of experience working with IT Application Management as an Application Manager, System/Service Manager, Digital Product Owner or similar position and with a true interest working within the digital support and development area.
- Knowledge of ITIL, Cybersecurity and Test Management is a clear advantage
- Documented experience in supplier-/partner management
- Experience on translating business requirements into digital solutions
- Experience working in a cross-functional environment
- Knowledge of systems related to Revenue Management and/or ERP is an advantage
- Experience working within logistics or supply chain is an advantage

- Independent team player with ability to structure, plan, prioritize, and drive own tasks and projects in coordination with the Digital & IT team, SAS Cargo business stakeholders and external partners/vendors
- Effective communication skills
- Customer and Business oriented with interest in understanding needs and expectations of SAS Cargo
- Structured, meticulous and detail oriented while maintaining the ability to see the big picture
- Forward thinking with a will to improve or find new and better solutions
- Analytical skills to support decision making
- Enthusiastic about making a difference
