We are looking for an Operations Coordinators to join our North America Warehouse and Distribution team.
These positions are based in Chesapeake, VA.

Position Summary:
Support the Operations Manager with the management of daily activities of the operation that ensure smooth, efficient processes and function. Activities to include planning, inventory, supply ordering, responding to customer requests, reporting and data entry. Look for efficiencies throughout the operation, identify areas of improvements, resolve problematic situations and track daily production.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
• Assist with the management of daily operational activities.
• Good strategic planning and problem solving.
• Prioritization, multi-tasking, and good time management abilities.
• Comfortable working under pressure.
• Effective communication skills, including writing, speaking and active listening.
• Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with colleagues.
• Verify all delivery orders and bills of lading have been received and are correct
• Maintain data integrity so that distribution can be received with no exceptions.
• Monitor and report any level of service failures to the Operations Manager.
• Handle all requests from customer in a timely manner.
• Responsible for maintaining clean and safe work area
• Cross train in other areas of the team, including Quality Assurance
• Support Maersk Distribution's commitment to quality, which includes customer specific Quality program(s), training requirements and work instructions.
• Utilize systems (i.e.: GLS, WMOS, SAP, WEB systems, GLS, etc) to produce required documents for inventory receipt, movement or shipping and verifying product.
• Special projects as assigned.
• Performs job related duties as specified by management
Qualifications
• Education and Experience:
• High School Degree or equivalent required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• 1+ years Warehouse or Transportation industry experience
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Products including Outlook, Word, Excel
• Must be able to work both 1st and 2nd shifts and have the ability to work nights, holidays, and weekends
Soft Skills
• Must be assertive self-starter
• Organizational skills, meticulous flow-through skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
