We offer
An opportunity to join a team where your advisory skills will be put to use on a daily basis. You will be partnering with stakeholders across the finance and commercial organization which means that you will be exposed to most of the group and its activities.
The FX & Liquidity team is part of the Global Cash Management team reporting into Group Treasury & Risk which places it at the heart of the finance organization.
Our claim to fame is through driving cash efficiency in all aspects of the business hedging, investing, and advising on best-practice liquidity and foreign exchange (FX) risk management. Cash is everywhere and therefore we are everywhere. Cash is the lifeblood of our business and therefore ensuring efficient cash management is critical for our success as a business and a central responsibility of the treasury team.
We are a small team of 4 nerdy individuals with a good sense of humor.
We are based in the Maersk head office at Esplanaden, Copenhagen.
Key responsibilities
The core responsibilities in the FX & Liquidity team are to advise and execute on hedge strategies, manage daily liquidity and forecasting, and to drive the cash efficiency agenda in the organization. Among other things, you will;
• Manage the hedge portfolio by identifying and hedging exposures to protect the economic value of the company
• Advice the business and group functions on ad hoc hedge strategies for projects
• Trade daily liquidity positions in the market and help drive and improve the liquidity forecast model to proactively manage positions and maximize return on invested cash
• Drive projects to create better visibility of our liquidity and FX exposures
• Advice our commercial organization on best-practice FX risk management and collection/disbursement solutions through partnering with our relationship banks and/or fintech service providers
• Work closely with our relationship banks to ensure best-in-class service for our business in the regions
We are looking for
You are a finance or business major with a problem-solving and analytical mindset. You are a self-starter that can manage complexity and move tasks forward. You have a keen interest in the financial markets and a good understanding of basic corporate finance principles being able to apply them in practice.
You are based in Denmark and have a Danish work permit.
You are thorough and accountable with a good eye for process improvement and a talent for understanding underlying financial market dynamics. You enjoy working with a wide range of stakeholders and tasks. You are service-minded towards stakeholders, while at the same time persistent in driving the treasury agenda.
You are a strong communicator in English, even of difficult matters and to audiences at different levels.
