We are currently looking for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join our Industrial Infrastructure platform team

As a Senior Infrastructure engineer, you will be actively delivering a best-in-class on-premise engineering capability for the products and platforms at Maersk. Engineers act as a trusted advisor with hands-on keyboard execution, helping the products team succeed by ensuring guardrails, governance, and security standards are adhered to. Engineers bring the necessary expertise on how to engineer for non-functional requirements (NFR) and infrastructure in the datacenters that makes the right way to deliver products the easy way. Engineers excel at providing robust, secure, and cost-efficient infrastructure from the datacenters.

You will be working with the largest technology providers globally. Using cutting-edge technologies with significant opportunities to develop, demonstrate and broaden your technology career.

Key Responsibilities

Designs, Provisions/Installs, configures and maintains infrastructure services and components for terminals, taking account of target environment, performance, security, safety, reliability and sustainability requirements.
Follows organizational architectures and standards - ensuring High Availability, Fault Tolerance and Zero resource contention
Discover the current H/W Infra & architecture, and derive compute & storage requirements from it.
Submits hardware designs for approval. Documents all work using required standards, methods and tools.
Designs the tests to measure the performance of prototypes and production output against specification and inform iterative development.
Design & Implement Disaster Recovery solution with near zero RPO and RTO and Enterprise backup solution with offsite copies (enabling rollback and compliance).
Establish and Use modern infrastructure automation platforms for hybrid cloud environments for performance, availability and infrastructure usage metrics.

We are looking for

A total of 8+ years of industry experience with 5+ years of experience in designing and/or developing and delivering end to end infrastructure products/solutions.
Advanced knowledge of virtualization concepts such as Hyper-V with experience in OS-level virtualization using container runtime and orchestration as well as VMWare technologies such as VCenter, VSphere, ESXi and VRealize.
Expertise in storage technologies across storage tiers such as SAN, NAS, Backup, Archive with hands-on experience in RAID, tiering, redundancy, fabric, et with knowledge of data management platforms with experience in Commvault.
Hands-on experience with Compute technologies in cloud, hybrid and on-premises environments. Advanced understanding of concepts such as Processors, Hyperthreading, multicores, etc. with hand-on experience in Cloud Computing technologies such as AWS and Azure as well as with Windows Server.
Familiarity with network management and skilled in Networking technologies such as DHCP, DNS, NTP, routing protocols, subnetting, internetworking, etc.
Understanding of converged and hyper converged infrastructure (e.g., Cisco UCS/ Hyperflex, HP and Dell EMC).
Familiar with DevSecOps concepts and application on the planning, estimating and execution of programs of systems development work to time, budget and quality targets.
Ability to articulate the agile principles and values and has practical experience of an agile method, e.g. Scrum or Kanban.
Basic Requirements Identification/Engineering and Modelling ability to actively listen to internal/external customers, articulate and clarify their needs
