Key responsibilities
The purpose of this role is to monitor the macroeconomic, trade and logistics outlook for selected regions and deliver impactful and comprehensive economic analysis on an ongoing basis, as well as outlining all relevant scenarios, sensitivities, and risks, with high degree of complexity.
Furthermore, your key responsibilities will be:
- Structure, clean, and analyze complex data
- Contribute to quarterly forecasts by preparing relevant output communicating effectively the results of analysis, clearly demonstrating underlying issues, key driving factors, potential outcomes, output sensitivities, risk profiles, etc.
- Assists other team members in specific projects and develop research on hot topics
- Contribute to the economic analysis of investment cases
- Contribute to team’s output, such as power point decks, internal and external reports
- Present findings to internal stakeholders across different functions
Who we are looking for
The ideal candidate for this role is someone who:
- Is confident working with large and complex datasets—able to structure, clean, and analyze data, and has a well-equipped toolbox with econometric skills
- Thrives in a collaborative environment and values collective intelligence, but can take ownership of workstreams and deliver independently when needed
- Has attention to details
- Enjoys stakholder management and has experience in presenting complexities in compelling and clear terms
- Has a can-do attitude, a natural curiosity, and the ability to learn fast and gather knowledge
- Has passion about macroeconomics, trade and logistics
- Applies strong critical thinking and analytical skills to connect macroeconomic trends with real-world business impacts
- Fluency in spoken and written English is a requirement.
- Advanced econometric skills, ability to use Python, previous experience with trade and logistics are an advantage.
