As the Customer Insights & Commercial Business Process Owner at Svitzer, you will get the opportunity to be the conduit between customer needs and strategic commercial initiatives both globally and regionally.
You will be joining a dynamic, international and growth-focused company, working to maintain our leading position in the industry.
The role is based at our head office in Copenhagen. You will become part of the Customer Solutions team tasked with achieving Svitzer’s ambitious global growth targets as well as improving existing relationships. The Customer Solutions team is small, dedicated and passionate about driving customer centricity, and supporting the regional commercial teams’ growth targets. A lean and flat structure in a performance driven culture gives you significant independence to shape your role and contributions to the performance of our team and our company.
The key aspect of the role is to support our global organization with understanding customer needs and translating them into improvements that directly impacts the customer experience. The role is critical for driving customer centricity mindset across the organisation.
The role’s responsibilities are:
• Understanding and translation of global customer needs (current & emerging), capturing insights to drive Value Proposition development.
• Support regional commercial managers in a customer-driven approach to identify needs and pain points to drive value proposition development
• Develop a deep understanding of market dynamics for each of the customer segments to intelligently develop and maintain marketing collateral
• Participate in creation of strategy, growth targets per customer segment
• Develop & collect use cases based on customer insights to drive growth and new business development in the tech landscape
• Own and execute Svitzer’s customer satisfaction process, including implementation, follow up, and project management of improvement initiatives
• The ownership and performance of the current commercial BPO Process including the running of day to day business and support
• Ensure appropriate organization, tools and systems are in place to support commercial processes globally
• Commercial system(s) products owner
• Maintain efficient, harmonised and value adding global policies, procedures and processes
The ideal candidate will positively impact our business by driving changes, selling messages and creating a consensus based on facts. This position is likely to suit somebody who has:
• Experience working with customer insights and proven quantitative and qualitative primary research skills
• Experience from working with business process improvement and standardisation in a global environment
• Good at managing stakeholder relationships
• Customer centricity mindset and detail oriented
• Experience from shipping industry a benefit
• Master’s degree in business administration or other relevant specialisation
International travel is required subject to COVID-19; estimated to be 4-6 weeks per year. The role is expected for 18 months.
