Join a digital communications team in development
The Group Communications team in DFDS is in development, and the new Global Social Media Manager will be a vital part of the journey. The role is responsible for planning, developing, and publishing of content on DFDS’ group social media channels to increase reach and drive engagement.
Develop the global social media channels with creative and impactful content
The right candidate develops the Global Social Media Manager role in close collaboration with the Head of Digital Communications and the marketing departments in DFDS’ Passenger and Business to Business units.
Aside from working with ambitious people within the group communications and the marketing teams, the candidate will be highly exposed to our diverse group of employees working across Europe, such as the UK, the Mediterranean and the Baltics, and the Executive Management at DFDS.

Main responsibilities
- Content planning and distribution
- Working with content owners and agencies to drive timely and high-quality content development that supports business goals
- Community management
- Monitoring performance and suggesting content optimisation in line with the social media strategy
Best practice sharing
- Staying up to date with the latest social media best practices and technologies
- Training team members and colleagues on best social media practices
The preferred candidate has 2-3 years of experience working with social media
- Expert user in major social media platforms like LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook
- Fluent written and spoken English is a prerequisite
- Holds basic skills within photo and video formatting and editing
- Experience with Social Media publishing platforms (e.g., Falcon io or Social Bakers) is an advantage.
