With an increased focus on Sustainability and Spend in Control, Group Procurement is aiming to support our customers and stakeholders, with sustainable solutions wherever possible – including Technical Marine, which is at the core of our business.
As a strategic partner to our Fleet Organization and top management and through the ability to build close relationships to your stakeholders, you will have the opportunity to influence how we operate and to develop both DFDS, Group Procurement and most importantly yourself along the way.
We offer a flexible and informal working environment, where we focus a lot on strong relations across the team. The position is based at our newly built HQ in Copenhagen, and the job provides a wide network of colleagues across the DFDS Group. Help us move Technical Marine procurement to the next level
You will be responsible for developing the strategic, commercial approach to the Technical Marine procurement. You’ll probably like this job, if you are both knowledgeable of and fascinated by technical solutions and driven by commercial excellence.
We hope you will optimize and leverage DFDS’s global spend and take part in outlining the Technical Marine procurement strategy while keeping a close eye on our regional contracts to ensure optimal supplier performance. Furthermore, you will:
- Build a strong, collaborative, likeminded network internally in DFDS and externally with suppliers and other stakeholders
- Reinforce the category strategy development and execution
- Drive projects from initiation to final contract implementation and handover to the business.
- Provide analytical category insights to fuel strategic decisions
- Create, run and analyze tenders
- Lead negotiations in cross-functional teams and finalize agreements with suppliers
- Act as strategic supplier contact no. 1 and drive best practice SRM
Professional Qualifications
You feel comfortable and hopefully even excited about engaging with challenging yet collaborative stakeholders on all levels of the organization, using your:
- Commercial mindset and maybe hands-on technical experience from sales or other part of Supply chain org.
- Change management and project management skills
- Tender process execution and negotiation strategies
- Knowledge of supply chain management and related tools, techniques and processes
- Love for data
- Advanced excel skills and Power Point
Travel days
In order to perform to the expectations of the role you have to anticipate 15 -20 travel days a year.
