Experienced Consultant to drive Digital Transformation in DFDS

With the implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365, DFDS is embarking on a digital transformation across HR, Finance and Procurement. To reach the finish line, we need an experienced consultant to drive the digital transformation agenda across DFDS.

Your job will be to dive into the relevant functional and technical areas of the company, create an understanding of the current challenges, analyze the problems and come up with the right solution design to address the challenge and drive it to completion.
You will be part of the Transformation Management Office, one of the 7 workstreams that constitute the ERP Programme of DFDS and will join forces with existing Consultants and Change Managers to make the digital transformation in DFDS a success.

The ERP programme is multinational, having members across three different countries: Copenhagen, Poznan and Istanbul. You will report to the Director of ERP, while working closely with various stakeholders across the entire organization and with all of the workstreams in the programme.

You will get a direct, transparent, and empowering manager who welcomes challenges and encourages continued learning. You will be part of the Technology and Innovation Division and be based in Copenhagen but are expected to travel 15-20 days a year to the different locations in Europe where DFDS operates from.

Turning the focus to you – who are we looking for?

It is an advantage if you are an experienced Product Owner or Management Consultant used to working with big and complex projects involving many stakeholders across functional and technical areas.
We are looking for a strong problem solver, good communicator that has a solid toolbox and is both driven and ambitions.
We do not expect you to be an expert within finance, procurement, HR processes or system setup or configurations, however, you must be curious and good at asking questions to ensure progress, so that milestones are reached and risks are mitigated timely.

Moreover, the ideal candidate is structured, a very organized planner and able to manage own and project time according to critical priorities, while leveraging a strong consultant toolbox. We also weigh that you are a great communicator that has proven experience of interacting with senior stakeholders in an organization.

Additionally, we expect that you:

  • Have a relevant educational background either within Business, Finance or IT
  • Have experience with agile projects or being part of cross-functional teams across multiple locations around the world
  • Have an analyst mind-set and a proven consultant toolbox that allows you to overcome challenges
  • Are an experienced workshop facilitator and are exceptionally good at asking the right questions
  • Have extensive and proven experience with Value Stream Mapping and you understand the importance of having to ask SMEs again and again the right questions to understand their daily work
  • Have proven experience with Hypothesis Based Problem Solving and Root Cause Analysis
  • Have the ability to bridge the gap between different functional areas and the experience to show it
  • Have some level of change management experience
  • Have proven experience of working with continuous improvement initiatives
  • You have extensive experience with development tools such as Azure DevOps or JIRA
