About the position
As a Backend Go Developer in Vivino you will be building APIs and daemons that will help users to find and drink the best wines possible. Your focus will be on delivering high quality and scalable solutions in collaboration with the rest of the team.
You will build features impacting millions of users every day using Golang, relational, non-relational databases and Vivino’s custom, open-sourced RankDB solution. Vivino keeps their APIs performant and responsive with Kafka used to offload asynchronous tasks.

Some of your main responsibilities in this position will be:
- Building APIs and daemons
- Building recommendation program
- Optimizing and bringing new features to the existing APIs
- Program concurrent systems in Golang
- Solving problems by writing fast, clean and testable code
- Support and communicate with the team and help with code reviews, testing and development
You must have the following experience:
- Experience from a similar position is a significant plus.
- Professional experience in Golang is a significant plus.
- Good understanding of SQL is a significant plus.
- Good understanding of Kafka is a plus.
- Good understanding of Elasticsearch is a plus.
- Good understanding of document databases is a plus.
- Experience in working with complex relational datasets is a plus.
- Having a Fullstack background is a plus.
