As our new INTERN IN INNOVATION WITHIN NATURE-BASED SOLUTIONS you will be part of a team that works locally and globally with cities and governments at multiple levels, public utilities, and other asset owners to prepare their systems, infrastructure, and citizens for the future climate changes. We are also working with major international financing institutions (IFIs) and Donors (i.e. World Bank, Asian Development Bank, EU, EIB, EBRD, KfW, Danida), as well as private developers.</p><p>We work within water, climate change adaptation, Nature-based solutions, and urban development across all stages of the project cycle. Our projects include storm surge protection for the entire coastline of Singapore, cloudburst masterplans for the City of New York, master plan development in Tbilisi, new drinking water treatment technology in Florida, piloting smart-city concepts in South East Asia, amongst many others. We work within policy and planning, advising the European Commission on their role in water and climate adaptation governance at the EU level or other donors with their climate investments planning.</p><p>The daily work will be at the Ramboll Head Office in the Water Division where you will support the consultants of the Climate Adaptation division which is currently consisting of three departments. We are dynamic teams with 60 people located mostly in Denmark (Ørestad), but also in Romania, Australia, The Netherlands, Cambodia, and Singapore.</p><p> </p><p><strong>Internship in Innovation within Nature-based Solutions</strong></p><p>We are seeking interns for the 2023 fall semester with profiles and capabilities like the below:</p><ul><li><strong>Nature-based Solutions:</strong> the key topic of the internship will be Nature-based Solutions (NbS). Key areas of engagement will be on business innovation, business models and strategies for NbS, with focus on Climate Resilience, Sustainability and Regenerative Design. This includes applied research within NbS market evaluations, financing mechanisms (with special focus on the EU Taxonomy), market assessment of NbS tools, and NbS spinoffs and startups.</li><li><strong>Business Innovation profile:</strong> we are looking for a business-minded, enthusiastic, holistic-thinking and engaged business/engineering student with a background in either Business, Innovation, Management, Environmental Engineering, or Climate Adaptation Studies. A profile combining various disciplines will be a strong asset.</li><li><strong>Content development:</strong> you will play a key role in developing business content with a focus on Nature-based Solutions, climate resilience, sustainability, and holistic adaptation. This will include desktop reviews, data collection, market intelligence, business strategies, management, and analysis, as well as support the development of best practices for planning, design, and implementation of NbS.</li><li><strong>Reporting and Communication:</strong> you will contribute to writing, formatting, and proofreading of memos, reports, and deliverables. You will help formulating presentations, organizing stakeholder consultations, workshops, and surveys (internal and external).</li><li><strong>Project administration & management:</strong> You will support with daily administration and management activities including updating internal and external online platforms, uploading, and downloading deliverables, organizing files and folders, writing technical interim reports, setting-up meetings, writing meeting agendas and minutes, support with overall planning.</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>Your starting point for constant growth</strong></p><p>From the moment you join Ramboll, we will support your personal and professional development so that you grow with the company. The location will be at the Ramboll Head Office in Copenhagen located next to Ørestad Metro station.</p><p><u><em>Please note that this is an unpaid internship reserved for students enrolled in an educational program (throughout the duration of the internship, i.e., up until and including December 2023). Thus, we do not accept candidates who are not yet enrolled in a bachelor or master’s program or who have already graduated with a master’s degree.
