As our new Structural Marine and Geotechnical Engineer you will be part of a diverse international department at Ramboll’s global headquarters in Copenhagen, and work on both major international and domestic marine projects across all stages from planning to detailed design and supervision, together with our team of highly engaged and specialized engineers.</p><p>We are currently involved in several exiting ports and marine projects, where the interaction of structural design, geotechnical expertise and hydraulic knowledge is key. For example, in flood protection design of Nakskov, extension of the Port of Rønne for offshore wind production, a new FSRU terminal in Gdansk and a largescale breakwater construction for the Port of Genoa. All projects where we are doing what we are great at, driving the technical excellence and supporting growth of the blue infrastructure and green energy transition.</p><p>Our department works with a broad spectrum of marine projects, from feasibility studies to detailed design and supervision. Our team is well-balanced between senior experts, project managers, specialists and new graduates. Knowledge sharing and open-minded collaboration across all levels within the department and across the organisation is part of our DNA and enable us to deliver innovative, yet efficient solutions of a high-quality standard. Your future colleagues have extensive experience from both national and international port, marine, geotechnical and coastal projects. The multidisciplinary aspect of Ramboll and focus on innovation and sustainability give you a unique opportunity to work with experts from all fields, developing your skills further.  </p><p>Your key tasks and responsibilities will be:</p><ul><li>Detailed design of a wide variety of marine and geotechnical structures, such as quay walls, caissons, dikes, bollard foundations, mooring dolphins, foundations, retaining walls, rock revetments, etc.</li><li>Advanced modelling of geo-structural challenges, using FE software such as PLAXIS and OPTUM to model complex soil-structure behaviour and deformation</li><li>Design of structural elements in steel and concrete both analytically and by using FE modelling for more complex structures</li><li>Detailed design from start to finish with a high level of responsibility and “hands-on” optimisation processes where you are the key player</li><li>Evaluation and dimensioning of port-related equipment, i.e. fenders and bollards</li><li>Life-time assessment of existing structures</li><li>Occasional site supervision (also on projects you have designed)</li><li>Coordination of drawing production</li></ul><p><strong>About you </strong><br>

Whilst we look forward to supporting your continued learning and development, for this role we have identified some qualifications, skills, and capabilities that will set you up for success.</p><ul><li>A master’s degree in Civil Engineering (or similar)</li><li>Proven experience in the design of marine structures or other concrete or steel civil structures</li><li>Motivation both independently and in teams</li><li>Curiosity and ambition, with the desire to learn and develop</li><li>Motivated to contribute to driving our automation efforts through tool development</li><li>Experience in programming (i.e. PYTHON or MATLAB) and motivation to continue applying these skills</li><li>English and Danish at a professional level, and any other language skills are a plus.</li></ul><p>Personal qualities that will help you succeed in this role include an open mindset and the ability to work both independently and as a team player.<br>
