Job description and areas of responsibility:
As our Digital Supplier Manager, you will be responsible for defining, developing and implementing a commercial procurement and partner/supplier management strategy to establish a unified approach to dealing with all third-party providers to our Digital function. You will also build knowledge of our partners/ suppliers’ capabilities to identify business opportunities and how they can best support our strategic vision.

You will support Pandora’s Digital Leadership team to manage strategic relationships with key partners/ suppliers, ensure that contract management, relationship management and Legal work effectively, and that all roles/responsibilities are well understood. Furthermore, you will be responsible for resolving any performance issues which may arise and provide professional guidance to the team to raise standards and understanding of commercial and contractual practices.

Commercial and Partner/Supplier Management:

  • Work with Pandora Group Finance, Procurement and Legal functions to ensure consistent management of contractual agreements with suppliers
  • Work with the existing IT procurement vendor management team and contract management systems to manage a comprehensive register and knowledge base of existing contracts
  • Monitor partners/suppliers’ performance, conducting formal periodic reviews to ensure we obtain maximum value and realise the full potential of the relationship
  • Manage the timetable of contract renewal and termination events, in partnership with the IT team where these are joint partners/suppliers to both IT and Digital, introducing a continuous supplier relationship management programme
  • Proactively review all third-party commitments and costs to identify and then execute on opportunities to reduce cost and risk, and increase spending efficiencies

Procurement:

  • Ensure that strategic purchasing objectives are met by developing and implementing a consistent process for the selection, evaluation and awarding of contracts to all partners/suppliers of Digital products and services
  • Ensure that all formal tenders for Pandora Digital are fair, transparent and legal for all participants
  • Develop the re-procurement strategy for all existing contracts such that there is a seamless transition from one supplier/partner to the next at the end of contract, should this be required
  • Regularly update procurement policies and ensure that these are well communicated and adhered to within the organisation

Resource Management:

  • Ensure we get the right resources, at the right time, for the right cost
  • Work closely with the Digital Strategy and Planning team to understand future potential demand for resourcing, whether this is provided externally, and how this could be procured, in order to ensure effective capacity and capability is in place
  • Manage all contracts for resource provision, both via partners/supplier and direct contractors
  • Ensure the Digital Leadership team have clarity on current and future financial commitments, as well as any contract end dates and decisions on whether to extend/replace

The Digital Development team is responsible for delivering on our strategic ambition to be industry leaders in digital; owning and delivering our digital product and technology vision, strategy and roadmap. You will report directly to the Director of Digital Engineering.

What is needed to succeed:
We imagine that you have an education within a relevant area and are fluent in English. If you are fluent in any other European language that would be great! Ideally, you have worked in a fast-paced, multi-channel customer focused organisation within the retail or consumer-centric market sector.

In addition, you have:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing supplier relations, preferably at a global level
  • Managed strategic supplier relationships involving significant budgets
  • Significant negotiation experience, ideally international, with understanding of contract structures and terms

Something about you:
You might be the person we are looking for if you are commercially astute, and a strong negotiator. You are able to both think strategically and act operationally to implement changes when required. Furthermore, you enjoy working in a fast-paced dynamic environment where you can influence priorities and strategy setting. Finally, you demonstrate sound judgement, and are able to balance risks with benefits, and ensure that all decisions made are well informed.

This role is based in the Pandora Global Office in Copenhagen, Denmark. Candidates should be willing to travel up to 20 days a year.
