Are you ready to take on the global responsibility for supply chain feasibility assessments and launch planning within Global Product Supply as well as defining overall supply strategies and developing the supply chain processes and systems accordingly within Xellia?
As Product Supply Strategy Lead you will be responsible for performing supply chain feasibility assessments to propose the best supply route for any given new product within Xellia and as such drive the commercialization, product lifecycle management and overall supply strategy of the products. You are expected to drive the development and implementation of efficient, innovative, end-to-end supply chain launch solutions, generating a competitive advantage in both the generics and branded business units within Xellia.
The Product Supply Strategy Lead will coordinate activities on behalf of Operations on all launches, new product introductions, Business Development or in-licensing opportunities to define and operationalize supply strategies for each product in the life cycle. The role will and be a key contributor to the launch, Sales and Operations Planning and Long-Term Planning processes by defining product supply strategies that are aligned with overall Manufacturing and Commercial strategy of the company.
The role will work cross-functionally with other Global Product Supply senior team members and leadership to develop an in-depth understanding of the end-to-end supply chain and ensure all areas are thoughtfully considered to efficiently support new opportunities for Xellia. This role will act as the main anchor point in the launch and BD processes, performing all supply chain feasibility assessments and as such liaison with the entire operations team, covering Global Supply Chain, all production sites, TPO/CMOs, R&D, Engineering and MS&T (Manufacturing Science & Technology) and Quality functions.
Primarily responsibilities:
- Own the supply chain product launch and commercialization strategy, considering the overall manufacturing network and strategy
- Own product lifecycle strategy for Supply Chain/Operations; drive prioritization to deliver top customer service, differentiation, efficiency and profitability for the company
- Develop and build a process for managing information flow and decisions around early supply chain feasibility for new launches or BD opportunities
- Support the development of launch business cases to facilitate executive decision making on supply strategy and product lifecycle strategy
- Translate supply and lifecycle strategies into operational plans
- Ensure timely communication of deliverables to other supply chain & GPS teams and drive accountability
- Secure end-to-end Supply Chain GMP readiness for new pipeline programs; coordinate activity across Supply Chain including materials/procurement, production/CMOs, packaging, logistics, Master Data, business IT systems and MS&T
- Provide strategic and operational direction to GPS & Supply Chain Leadership, Supply Chain sub teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to drive deliverables, timelines and action plans
There are no direct reports to this position at current, but it is important that you have excellent communication skills, as you will engage in a close cooperation with senior stakeholders across many functions.
A Strategy Lead with passion for supply chain, business development and project management
We expect a relevant educational background e.g. a university degree in engineering or business management. Moreover, it is expected that you have at least 5 years of relevant supply chain experience in life sciences industry and diverse experience in operations disciplines and end-to-end supply chain preferably having worked with sterile injectables.
Other requirements:
- Ability to operate at different levels, both strategically and tactically
- Experience leading virtual project teams and ability to influence all levels of staff in a matrix organization
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentations
- Ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to bring clarity from multiple sources of information; “connect the dots” into a cohesive plan
- Self-directed and able to work independently with minimal direction
- Enthusiastic team player
- Fluent in English
- Experienced in managing complex initiatives and leading culturally diverse and virtual teams
