Praktik - København
AADK supports civil society in bringing about political and social change in 45 countries throughout the world. Team context
The International Programme and Policy team is composed of approximately 19 staff, with experience of managing our SPA country and global programmes, managing our Humanitarian and EU programmes, MEL function, institutional fundraising and our People2People Unit, where this position is based.
The People2People unit manages our People4Change programme and EU AID Volunteer programmes, which are both deployment programmes aiming at supporting and strengthening the capacity of our partners and our common programmatic goals. There are three other staff within the People2People unit, which works very horizontally and across the various programmes we implement. The International Programme and Policy team is part of the AADK International department.
You will refer to the Head of Team but receive day to day line management by the P2P Coordinator.
You will be responsible for:
Leading training and induction
- Register Inspirators and Advisors for online courses
- Register EU AID Volunteers for pre-deployment face-to-face trainings
- Conduct online induction sessions for Inspirators
- Conduct online learning sessions and quality assurance on good practices around volunteer management for relevant AA staff
- Support on EU AID Face-to-face Inductions
Country Coordination and Support
- Responsible for supporting two countries that implement People4Change placements
- Ensure coordination between internal departments and information sharing regarding the countries supported
Leading the administration and further development of our database roster
- Working in and maintaining our Inspirator Roster database, including managing the back-end of the system as well as updates
- Support a potential handover of the database to a partner in the ActionAid Federation
HR and M&E support functions
- Update and maintain our central HR registration and planning documents of Inspirator, Advisor, and EU AID Volunteer placements
- Be the P2P Unit’s insurance lead and register EU AID Volunteers, Advisors, and Inspirators for insurance schemes
- Monitor progress reporting from Inspirators, Advisors, and EU AID Volunteers and support the development processes related to our internal M&E tools
- Responsible for online evaluations of placements
The job requires that you:
- Hold a University Degree in International Development Studies or similar – recent graduates are also considered relevant candidates.
- Have strong administrative and coordination skills, preferably from multicultural contexts i.e., from a previous student position
- Have experience with international development issues i.e., from a previous student position
- Are an experienced user in MS Office (Excel in particular) and database management systems
- Are fluent in oral and written English
- Have a strong motivation to work with ActionAid and appreciation of our values and mission
- Are a dedicated team player
- Enjoy working primarily at an operational level and have a strong eye for detail, overview, and are a logic thinker
- Are flexible and proactive
And it is great if you have:
- Experience from HR related processes – especially recruitments
- Experience with conducting or facilitating trainings or introductions – face-to-face and/or digitally
- Experience developing surveys
- Experience digitalising work processes
- Experience or understanding of activism, youth work in the Global South, or climate justice
