The Finance Department
The Finance, Risk and Supply Chain Department (FRISC) is one of the four support functions in headquarters and consists of around 70 talented and dedicated people who are responsible for DRCs financial and supply chain affairs globally in close cooperation with the operation. You will lead our project finance team for Africa and Americas and be a member of the management team in FRISC together with 5 other managers and our CFO.
About the job
Your main goal will be to ensure that you and your team helps to provide proactive financial support for our projects in Africa and Americas. You will do so by working together with your team, the management team in FRISC, and business decision makers in Operations. In the Operations department your main counter parts will be the Executive Director for Africa and Americas, as well as the Regional Directors, and Heads of Support Services in the Regions. Here you will be advising on ongoing cases, future directions, and choices within the area of finance.
You will have direct line management of a team of 6 Business Controllers, 6 Finance Controllers, and 1 Student Assistant. The team performs finance related tasks in relation to donor projects with a focus on both operating, monitoring and reporting tasks.
As Lead Finance Business Partner you will be reporting to the CFO. You will however also be working closely with the 5 other managers in the FRISC Department. Especially you will need to plan and coordinated cross cutting issues closely the Lead Business Partner for Europe, Asia and Middle East as Europe, Asia and Middle East represents the other half of DRCs international presence.
About you
To be successful in this role you need to have:
- At least five years' experience at management level within Finance, preferably as a Finance Business Partner in an international organization (e.g. in an INGO or an international commercial organization)
- Well documented experience with financial risk management preferably also experience with institutional donors. NGO sector experience is highly preferred
- University degree or equivalent within a relevant area
- International experience from working abroad or in the field, preferably also experience with insecure environments/locations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, preferably also in Danish and/or French

- The ability to talk the language of the business by communicating financial thinking and terminology into business needs and language and vice versa

- You are business minded and thrive with strategic and analytical tasks. You have a down to earth personality and possess integrity and credibility to inspire and lead others in developing their own high levels of integrity

Contract length: 10-12 Months
Work place: Borgergade 10, Copenhagen
Start date: 15th of June 2021
Salary and conditions will be in accordance with the agreement between DRC and Lederaftalen between Dansk Arbejdsgiverforening og Lederne, which can be found here: www.lederne.dk.
