Junior Analyst, Growth Projects – Copenhagen

Banking Circle is a financial infrastructure provider. We provide accounts, payments, FX, lending and much more to licensed payment companies and banks. We are creating an ecosystem of applications that financial institutions can leverage from one platform, enabling almost 200 clients to focus relentlessly on providing the best client experience and growing rapidly within their field. As a result, we have seen triple digits growth and are on track to process €250bn in transactions this year.

To support that and our exciting growth journey, we are looking to hire a highly skilled Junior Analyst. You will become part of our Business Development and Growth team that is currently consisting of a small yet highly capable group of professionals with backgrounds in consulting, corporate finance, strategy, and banking.
Ongoing work in the team includes setting the overall strategic direction for Banking Circle while initiating and executing on critical growth projects in close collaboration with all business departments within the organization, acting as a catalyst for growth. The team also drives the M&A agenda and collaborates with the Finance department on Banking Circle’s financial planning. Finally, the team owns and executes upon our ambitious global expansion plan together with regional leaders and management.
Key Responsibilities
In the position of Junior Analyst, you will be working closely with the Growth Project Lead and the wider BD&G team to drive Banking Circle’s growth agenda by supporting on a variety of growth projects, such as:
- Business strategy for Banking Circle to guide the direction in close collaboration with management, investors, internal- and external stakeholders
- Growth projects to monetise the core through improved go-to-market and product add-ons as well as to drive monetization beyond the core by targeting new segments or launching new business areas
- Commercial dialogues with strategic clients and partners
- M&A efforts and related workstreams
- Strategy execution updates for Senior Management and Board of Directors meetings
Skills & Qualifications
To be the right candidate for this position, we expect you to have relevant experience from a previous student job and/or internships within fast paced start-ups, consulting, investment banking or corporate strategy. Furthermore, you are finishing a master’s degree as top of class within finance, strategy, economics, or similar areas.
We expect you to have a strong business acumen with the ability to navigate an international organisation, and that you are well versed in both Excel and PowerPoint.
As a person you are self-driven and motivated to be part of a unique growth journey and take on the challenge of building the financial infrastructure of the future.
As Banking Circle is an international company it´s a requirement, that you are fluent in English, both verbally and in writing. The position will be based at Banking Circles Office in Copenhagen.
The position is 15-20 hours pr. week with potential peak periods. Equally, we recognise your need for flexibility during exam periods and the opportunity to work more, when you have the time.
