THE JOB
Trading Services is looking for a highly motivated and ambitious Student Analyst. As our new Student Analyst, you will engage and work alongside highly experienced Saxo professionals. You will be handling real time market risk as well as the technical risks associated with a state-of-the-art fin-tech company. Real time risk management includes stop out handling, execution and platform related queries, disputes and assessment of technical abnormalities associated with trading and providing assistance for client facing stakeholders.
Therefore, you must enjoy working in a dynamic environment, have a flair for and interest in numbers and how IT systems and our platforms work.

Apart from real time risk management the team covers a variety of roles ranging from business analysis, solution design, process management to project management, hence you are expected to engage in automation and digitalization of core business processes, development and maintenance of risk models, dashboards, platform features and business procedures as we continuously improve and adapt to a fast-paced environment. A part of our work is to prepare for events that have a significant impact on the market. You will also develop and maintain various reports using VBA, SQL, Python and Power BI, which provides the organisation with important information for the daily operation and improves the client experience. The team works closely and alongside stakeholders through-out the entire bank, especially Counterparty Credit Risk Management, IT Business Support, IT Development, Legal/Compliance, Middle Office and our trading- and client facing teams in our branches/subsidiaries around the world.

Among others you will be responsible for:
- Risk reports.
- Trade and stop out execution verification.
- First point of contact for trading related queries from internal stakeholders.
- Maintaining and improving risk dashboards.
- Stakeholder on various IT, compliance and product related project.
- Collaborating with our team in analyses and the development of new reports and performance metrics.

Trading Services operates 24/5.5 from Asia market opening Sunday evening through-out the week until market close Friday 5pm NY. The HQ team covers European and US trading sessions from 8 to 24 CET while the Asia trading session is covered by our team in Singapore. You are required to work in shifts, this includes working evenings Sunday - Friday and on Danish bank holidays.Your Profile :

Further we are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications:

  • You are enrolled in & an active student at CBS, KU, ITU or similar university/business school in Copenhagen area and have commenced your BSc or MSc in Finance, Economics or similar
  • You have demonstrated outstanding achievements in academic activities.
  • Strong numerical, analytical skills and a curious and enthusiastic attitude.
  • Interest in and understanding of IT is a must.
  • Self-starter, with an ability to dissect complex problems and take a creative approach to removing impediments and overcoming challenges.

  • Independent, very accurate and reliable work ethics with a detail-oriented approach.
  • Strong team player, empowering and challenging team members to foster collaboration and individual development
  • Dedicated, hard-working, flexible and service minded.
  • Broad knowledge within MS Excel, VBA, SQL, Python and PowerBI.
  • Work language is English so exceptional communication skills both written and spoken is a must.
