As part of the Finance partner team within the Commercial Finance area you will together with the rest of the team play an important role in delivering precise and relevant information on business performance. You will, in the role as Finance partner, work closely together with Saxo Bank’s executive management, but also become a trusted sparring partner in the broader organisation. The Finance partner team currently consists of 5 colleagues, and you will refer to the Head of Finance partners and Commercial Finance PMO.
You will be the Finance partner for the COO area, a global organisation with presence in most of our offices and with a large part of the resources in technology and operations being delivered from our subsidiary in India. The functions included in the COO area are Operations, Security & Financial Crime Prevention, Trading and our ‘Technology Foundation’ with Enterprise Architecture, Infrastructure, Data Platforms, Workplace Service Management, DevOps Lifecycle Management, and IT Business Management and is in total responsible for the full digital value chain that we deliver to our clients and partners.
The key stakeholders in your daily work, including the Bank’s COO/Deputy CEO, are in large part based in HQ in Hellerup. You will gain insight into vital parts of the client journey in Saxo Bank, and you will be working closely together with the other Finance partners and colleagues in Commercial Finance, giving you the opportunity to share knowledge and insights.
The Finance partner team is responsible for the Management reporting in Saxo Bank including reporting/presenting for the Board/executive management as well as more detailed reporting packages for our global offices, business lines and HQ functions. The reporting process is performed monthly ensuring a consistent basis for follow-up and decision making and is continuously evaluated to maximise the value and the efficiency of the process.
Essential knowledge on historic performance and business insights creates the platform for preparation of forecasts and business cases with the aim to support and challenge the Bank’s current and future operation. The Finance partner team is an integral part of the forecast process within Saxo Group including a broad range of work tasks in close cooperation with the business, e.g., development/management of forecast models, preparation of business cases/analysis for larger initiatives as well as consolidation of the total financial outlook for the Group.
Among others you will be responsible for:
- Driving monthly performance follow-up with the COO/Deputy CEO and with other relevant stakeholders in the COO organisation
- Ensuring cost and KPI transparency as part of the performance discussions and reporting
- Driving projects and analysis across the COO organisation to ensure alignment and transparency around decision making
- Continuously ensure decisions are implemented and reflected in the forecast/budget
The position is based in Saxo Bank’s headquarter in Hellerup, and business travelling is expected to be limited.
Your Profile:
We are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications:
- MSc within relevant field (e.g. cand.merc.fir/aud, cand.oecon/polit) or similar experience
- 3-5 years of working experience
- Experienced user in Excel and PowerPoint – skills within HFM/Oracle, Navision, PowerBI will be an advantage
- Strong financial toolbox and understanding of both Accounting and Finance processes
- Excellent written and verbal skills in English

- Organised, detail-oriented and self-motivated
- Analytical with focus on effective problem solving while working with tight deadlines
- An outgoing team player willing to share experience and ideas as well as being able to communicate at different management levels in the organisation

• Controlling cost and generating higher and more stable revenue, leading to an improved EBIT margin
• Managing capital cost and regulation efficiently to generate an improved return on Equity
• Supporting mergers and Acquisitions for the Group
• Supervising and overseeing the review, negotiation and drafting of major contracts, tender documents and other legal documents, as required by the operational departments
• Organizing and managing liquidity globally
