Our new Vendor Manager will join Operations and become a part of the Operation Support team. In Operations, our most important task is to fulfill our contractual obligations with customers through a high and stable operating quality as well as to ensure cost efficient production. We achieve this through continuous development and improvement of processes, support tools and collaboration structures across business areas and the Nordic organizational units.

GlobalConnect largely uses external partners for on-site deliveries and operational work, both when it comes to passive infrastructure and active networks, including delivered customer solutions. This collaboration has a significant impact on our delivery and operational quality and furthermore the performance and thus also our competitiveness.

For historical reasons, the collaboration is fragmented both in terms of responsibility and agreements. Going forward you will pay an important role in aligning this.
As GlobalConnect matures as a Nordic infrastructure and service operator, and our customers' expectation of being served PAN-Nordic (both the national B2B units as well as our GC Carrier organisation), it is advantageous for us to offer and operate Group delivery agreements across the countries. GlobalConnect now want to obtain a joint overview of these agreements through this Vendor Management function on group level.

Our operational system universe primarily consists of ServiceNow, which largely receives data from local backend systems (Telemator, WebTelefakt, BackOffice & AX), and also local inventory, agreement and finance systems. The ServiceNow platform will be further developed in the coming years, in order to further improve the case management against subcontractors of FES (Field Engineering Services).

About the position and what we are looking for
The position entails the following areas of responsibility and tasks:

Work factually/data-based to develop the supplier collaboration towards e.g. FLM and Leased Line partners through structured service catalogues, order/delivery, contract law and performance management which optimizes GlobalConnect's interests with regard to customer expectations and cost efficiency

Participate in projects involving Vendor Management, this could be onboarding of new suppliers or larger customer projects.

Operational management, which includes governance around case management, including QA and routines for ongoing supplier follow-up

This is an outgoing and coordinating role, where you create the structure for your area via operational processes. You will take full ownership of your assigned suppliers.

In GlobalConnect you will work in a dynamic everyday environment that requires quick, competent assessments, with the aim of meeting or exceeding the goals we have set for Vendor Management.

For this position, we are looking for you who...
Has experience with supplier management and flair for building and maintaining collaborative relationships with our national and international suppliers.

Has experience in establishing and maintain a framework for Vendor Management, that provides good control over the deliveries GlobalConnect makes use of.

Possess solid business understanding and a commercial mindset that you use when you need to form an overall picture, as well as analytical abilities that come in handy when you familiarize yourself with contracts, products and processes.

Has experience with continuous follow-up of suppliers, through the collection and processing of data from operational and delivery systems (including ServiceNow and local customer/service systems).

Has solid experience with analysis tools such as Excel and BI tools, as well as interpretation of operational KPIs. Leading to well support and documented performance tracking on our suppliers.

Communicates both orally and in writing in English and another Scandinavian language.
within Telecom or IT Consulting previously.
