Who are we?
As our new Transition Manager, you will report to our Operations Support Manager.
In Operations Support, you will be part of a team that ensures that daily operations are maintained in a well-structured and organized way, ensuring that operational excellence and readiness is a natural part of our culture in Operations.
The team consists of highly skilled experts within areas like ITIL Process Management, Change, Problem and Vendor Management. On top of this, development within ITSM and Event Monitoring is done in Operations support.
We will now take the next step in Operations by adding a dedicated Transition Manager to the team.
As Transition Manager you will be the anchor point, when new projects or deliveries are heading towards Operations.
In GlobalConnect you will work within production areas with passive and active networks, delivering services to external and internal purposes.
You will ensure that the delivery is of the agreed quality and standard. Making sure that supporting processes, documentation, knowledge transfer etc. is in place, before a handover is accepted by the operational departments.
With GlobalConnect being present in both Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Germany and with employees from many nationalities you will be working in a multi-national environment where we will make you feel welcome and be fully engaged in your successful transitioning into your new role and our company.
Your key responsibilities
- Collect input from stakeholders to continuous improvement and development of the Transition process, procedures, and templates
- According to the agreed operating model, ensure that the end-to-end Operations and Support model for projects is delivered in close cooperation with stakeholders across Business units, Engineering, IT and Operations. This includes Processes, knowledge documentation, performance metrics, SLAs, KPIs and monitoring corresponding with business requirements and priorities.
- Operations participant in projects, where acceptance criteria’s is to be defined and implemented.
- Gate keeper on project sign-off from all operational key stakeholders.
- Initiate and participate in improvement and efficiency initiatives related to the Transition process across the GlobalConnect Group
Who are we looking for?
You could have several different paths towards this position, but you will probably have several years’ experience as Transition manager, Project Manager or a similar role in a complex technical organization.
Good knowledge within the technology and infrastructure, that forms the GlobalConnect productions environments within Network and IT
You are well structured in your work methods and is on top of things when several parallel tasks are being processed on.
In your daily work, you are self-driven, and it is your nature to seek solutions and answers on your own and navigating around inside or outside the organization to find the right persons, that can bring the solution.
You have excellent communication skills both talking technical issues with the engineers, but also when descripting identified issues to the management in presentations and reporting.
We expect that you have knowledge within the core ITIL framework, and it is a plus if you are certified in ITIL v.4 foundation.
Knowledge of ITSM, preferably ServiceNow, since this is used across GlobalConnect
