In that case, we might have the right opportunity for you in our Market Data and Exchange Relations team here in Saxo. Our Market Data and Exchange Relation team is responsible for the relationships with Saxo’s data vendors and exchanges that delivers market data for Saxo’s trading platforms as internal systems.
Responsibilities:
We are offering an exciting opportunity for you to expand your knowledge in different markets, engage with various counterparts and excel your competences within market data via a wide variety of tasks. You will get a wide and deep exposure to the full value-chain of financial markets and assets classes such as equities, futures, options and bonds. And very importantly, you will play a key role in delivering, entitling and maintaining data.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Negotiate and maintain vendor and market data contracts.
- Be first point of contact and responsible for external communication with our data vendors and exchanges.
- Maintain and analyse data usage and entitlement control, and secure data usage alignment internally in Saxo.
- Work closely with our budget and reporting team to coordinate and stay compliant on agreed contract terms.
- Handling day to day queries on all the above
In this role, you will join our office in Copenhagen, and your will become part of a team consisting of 10 people based in Copenhagen, London and Gurugram, meaning that you will get plenty of opportunity to make cross-collaborations both in terms of different offices as well as various functions within Saxo. You will collaborate closely with many different internal stakeholders, so a natural curiosity is essential.
How do you succeed:
A great deal of this job is contract management in the sense of having an analytical mindset that enables you to understand key elements of contracts with our data vendors. Understanding the terms and conditions is essential to investigate and improve the way we use data in Saxo and further negotiate contracts without external stakeholders.
You thrive in a face-paced environment, where you have multiple internal and external stakeholders towards which you understand the importance of acting professionally. You will in many ways act as the face of Saxo both towards colleagues and external counterparts, and a natural curiosity to understand Saxo as an organization is very important.
You possess excellent communication skills and understand how to get the right messages through to the right people at the right time – this is done via a deep understanding and attention to detail within your work.
Your profile:
For this role, you must possess great stakeholder management skills and communicate effectively both with external and external counterparts. You communicate effectively using Excel, data sets and Power Point and understand the importance of tailoring your communication to people across hierarchies and functions.
It is a clear advantage to have experience from the financial sector and having worked with market data in previous roles. Furthermore, to thrive in this role, a keen interest in developing your knowledge of financial markets is essential.
We imagine that you may have experience with market data or understand the essentials behind data usage preferable from finance and/or fintech. Furthermore, you could also have experience within contract management, commercial procurement or financial regulation and wish to use your knowledge in a commercial setting and apply your skills and system understanding.
You are diligent, detail and process-oriented and work in a structured and methodical manner and can balance your work style while working with multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment where negotiation and being professional is of utmost importance.
We expect you to have a relevant degree and have at least 5 years of relevant work experience (excluding student assistant positions). And you must be fluent in English, both in speaking and writing.
