JOIN OUR ECONOMICS AND MANAGEMENT DEPARTMENT IN LYNGBY
COWI Economics and Management is looking for our next intern to contribute to the implementation of a major assignment for the World Bank Group. The subject of the study is data and cloud infrastructure analysis, growth potential, enablers, and business models in emerging markets. The objective is to fill a specific analytical gap in data and cloud infrastructure in emerging markets, providing input to corporate operations (policy and investment lending on the World Bank side; equity and loan investments on the IFC side), and global public goods, strategically related to important World Bank Group corporate priorities (Cascade; Digital Economy for Africa, DE4A). The desired outcome of the study would be a thorough understanding of how the WBG can assist governments, cloud solution providers, local companies, and other stakeholders in the continuous adoption and development of cloud computing across our relevant markets.

- You will be located in Lyngby in COWI's Economics and Management Department
- Working hours are 37 per week, but we are flexible, just as we expect you to be flexible, if needed.
- We are expecting our new intern to stat with us in September 2020 and continue until February 2021.
On a day-to-day basis, your key responsibilities will be supporting the consultants with :
- Performing international data collection activities (including via desktop research, interviews and surveys)
- Identification of key business models, regulatory frameworks, role of public and private sector stakeholders
- The preparation of a report which will be published by the World Bank Group
- Drafting country case studies
- Other ad-hoc assistance, as needed

Furthermore, you should
- Be currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or a Master’s programme and have an interest in consulting, emerging markets and digital infrastructure.
- Have an interest in consulting, emerging markets and digital infrastructure (such as data centres)
- Have strong organisational skills and enjoy challenging tasks.
- Have a good command of the Microsoft Office package.
- Be comfortable with working in a busy environment and can perform well under time pressure.
