In the role as Director, Business Applications, you will be heading our ERP area and have the responsibility for driving and securing deliverables that will be business critical in realizing our short and long term goals, thereby enabling the continued success across our business functions.
The role as Director, Business Applications is part of the IT department and reports to the Vice President, IT. The daily work involves cross-organizational cooperation with management in IT, staff functions and across all business areas. The cooperation will take place on various levels and across international locations, depending on the task at hand.
Terma’s IT department is mainly located at Terma’s head office in Lystrup, DK with staff also at our offices in Grenaa and Herlev. Our 44 employees are supporting approx. 1750 users across our locations in DK, The Netherlands, Germany, France, The United States, India, Indonesia, The United Kingdom and Singapore.
We have a working environment with an informal tone, however with focus on maintaining the professional and reliable service that characterizes IT in general.
The challenge
In joining Terma, you will become part of an exciting development and growth scenario across our Business Areas, where our ERP solutions will be a key enabler. This will test your ability to handle a challenging business environment with changing business needs and processes. You will need to understand and orchestrate the link between business processes, solutions development and infrastructure requirements, in order to deliver standardized and effective solutions
You will be heading the Business Applications team taking care of ERP and related IT systems, including the managerial responsibility for the ERP team, currently consisting of 8 employees.

You are a seasoned ERP professional and you master the discipline of grasping complex business processes and needs, transforming them into digital solutions and securing proper specifications for system requirements. - Drive the continuous improvement and optimization of business processes and optimal use of our applications
- Ensure that our systems and applications supports and develop the business in a cost effective way
- Show how IT technology can contribute to innovative development of the business
- Establish and utilize supplier partnerships to secure flexibility and momentum in deliverables
You should expect approximately 20 days of travel per year.
Your education and experience
You are a seasoned ERP professional and you master the discipline of grasping complex business processes and needs, transforming them into digital solutions and securing proper specifications for system requirements. The role as manager is second nature for you and you thrive in securing personal and professional growth for your team.
- You have successfully completed a technical degree at university level, e.g. cand.it, cand.merc.(dat), engineer or similar
- Knowledge of and several years of working experience with the utilization of ERP system functionality to optimize business processes is considered an advantage. Terma uses IFS Applications as ERP platform
- Experience in management of both staff and IT projects
- You have a good understanding of IT and IT infrastructure, combined with a solid business understanding
- You master English in both writing and speech.
