Job description
We are looking for a passionate developer for our Self-Protection Systems software (SPS SW)department to join the Flight team that maintains and builds mission-critical software for military aircraft.
The department is part of the Self-Protection Systems (SPS) organization which consists of approximately 60 engineers across Denmark and the US working within systems, hardware,electronics, automated test equipment, and mechanical engineering disciplines.
The department delivers Flight and Ground software; the former is embedded Operational Flight Program (OFP) software for supporting inflightoperations during missions; the latter is high-level application software for supporting pre- and postflight operations on the ground, such as mission planning and debriefing.
In total, the staff of permanent employees in the department is 15, split between the Flight software team and the Ground software team.
You will be part of the Flight software team and primarily work with the Flight software, but you will get the opportunity to also work with the high-level application software, should you havethe will and desire.

- Develop maintainable, testable embedded code for proprietary and COTS hardware.
- Participate in code review practices to provide and receive constructive feedback.
- Work closely together with the architects and systems engineers.
- Help maintain our integrated toolchain.
- Maintain and review technical documentation such as requirements specifications, test specifications, and interface control documents.
- Develop automated test suites, unit tests, and integration tests and conduct tests on real hardware in the lab.
You will work with these technologies:
- C++ and C.
- Microsoft Visual Studio and Visual Studio Code with Resharper Ultimate.
- Real-Time Operating Systems.
- Google Test.

- You hold a relevant degree in computer science or engineering.
- You have a desire to work with software architecture and business logic.
- You speak and understand English (all documentation is in English).
The ideal candidate:
- You have a few years of professional work experience.
- Experience with design patterns and understanding of S.O.L.I.D principles.
- Experience with task management and knowledge-sharing tools like Jira and Confluence.
- Experience with the continuous integration tools Git, Gerrit, and Jenkins.
- Understanding of agile development.
