About the department
R&ED IT Global Research Solutions (GRS) supports the strategic digital transformation of their global research units at Novo Nordisk A/S which is needed to realise the R&ED strategy.
They are responsible for maintaining and develop the Data-, Middleware - and IT infrastructure used by the Global Research Units across Novo Nordisk A/S. On premise and in the cloud. And they participate in the major strategic IT programmes within Global Research.
The position
As a Database Specialist, you have the responsibility of ensuring that their Oracle research databases are running swift and secure. Further you take leadership in developing their future platforms used across Novo Nordisk Research areas.
You will be handling both operations and monitoring along with issues handling and change requests on existing platforms as well as playing a role in new development.
Their scientific users are situated globally, and you will be working in an international environment with colleagues around the globe.
Qualifications
Preferably, you have a Master’s degree or have 10+ years of experience with Enterprise Oracle database environments and have a history of working with IT in a large industrial context.
You have a proven track record of putting your skills in to work and you accustomed to teamwork
Strong Oracle Database Administration experience maintaining high availability of databases for global operation using Data Guard/Standby databases.

- Oracle internals knowledge.
- Linux & Windows expertise.
- Experience with DAM and SIEM solutions.
- Fluent in English both written and verbal.
- Oracle Certification, preferably OCP would be an advantage.
