The Position The position is in the Clinical Bioanalysis department, which consists of 18 highly skilled scientists and technicians. As a Senior Scientist, you will:
  • Develop ligand-binding assays in-house as well as ensure outsourcing of our PK assays and biomarker assays to Contract Research Organisations (CROs). You should expect to spend as much time on outsourcing as on in-house activities. Outsourcing includes identification of suitable CROs, setting up contracts for validation of assays, supporting trial sample analysis and ensuring transfer and cross-validation of assays from Novo Nordisk to the CROs.

  • Qualifications To be a successful candidate, you:
  • Hold a Masters’ degree within Life Science (e.g., Biology, Human Biology, Biochemistry, Pharmacy, Biotech Engineering etc.) and preferably a PhD degree or equivalent experience.
  • Have +3 years of experience within a relevant field, preferably working with development and validation of bioanalytical methods (LC-MS/MS and/or immunoassays (ELISA, RIA, MSD, AlphaLISA)).
  • Insight in clinical development from an outsourcing management perspective and knowledge of the regulatory guidelines and the GLP/GCP principles is an advantage.
  • Have strong project management skills and are excellent at communicating written and orally in English and building fruitful relations to both colleagues and stakeholders in a multidisciplinary environment.
  • Enjoy working with many different stakeholders and you are very good at planning and meeting deadlines.

About the Department Our area Non-clinical and Clinical Assay Sciences (NCAS) is responsible assay development for pre-clinical and clinical of new pharmaceutical drugs, including immunogenicity and biomarker analyses, and we support the entire drug product portfolio of Novo Nordisk. NCAS consists of five departments with scientists, automation specialists and lab technicians. We have a strong collaborative atmosphere and share laboratory facilities that house a range of different state-of-the art techniques such as different ligand-binding assays including ELISA, LOCI, RIA, Gyros and SPR as well as cell-based and LCMS assays. NCAS is a GLP/GCP regulated area and is currently undergoing a transformation towards a more digitized and automated laboratory involving all five departments.
