As an Acoustics Engineer at Interacoustics, you will be defining state of the art hearing-diagnostic solutions. You will join a group of highly skilled Acoustics and DSP (Digital Signal Processing) Engineers that invent, develop, and implement advanced audio solutions and algorithms used in hearing-diagnostic instruments. Our products are used by aid clinicians around the world in diagnosing and treating hearing disorders.
Your role will, together with a Mechanical Engineer, form part of a small Headset Team focusing specifically on developing new and maintaining existing audio headsets. This involves both conventional audiometry headphones and insert earphones. The position offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of audiology with innovative audio solutions and to work closely in a small dedicated cross-functional team on headset projects. While forming part of the Headset Team, you will be working alongside your colleagues in the DSP Team, who will introduce you to the technical aspects of our products, help you get started in your new role, and provide technical sparring. A typical working day could consist of performing and analyzing acoustic measurements, optimizing designs using simulations, or collaborating on implementing design improvements.
At Interacoustics, we challenge ourselves every day and expect you to do the same to help advance the technology of hearing-diagnostic measurements. This could be through inventing new innovative audio solutions, participating in technology courses/conferences, collaborating with universities, etc. We offer talented engineers a unique opportunity to advance their career and personal development, adjust the role to personal interests/wishes, and make a difference for people suffering from hearing disorders.
We expect you to hold a M.Sc. degree in acoustics. Additional experience with at least some of the following points will be useful for the role:
You will join a large international organization with room for personal and professional growth. We provide an engaging workplace with an enthusiastic, friendly, and informal environment, fueled by our fantastic canteen. We offer flexible working conditions with opportunities for remote work. We constantly strive to improve ourselves in everything we do, and value open communication, trust, and teamwork. We will ensure a good onboarding process for you, where you will get the necessary training in products and processes. You will be working with many experienced and highly skilled colleagues who are eager to share their knowledge and will help you settle in your new role.
The role may involve occasional traveling.
