Key Responsibilities
Overall, you are accountable for providing clear HR frameworks for the whole organization in Denmark in the complexity between local affiliates and HQ entities in Paris. In addition, you will be responsible for developing and implementing an organisational effectiveness strategy covering policy and capabilities within organisational development, diversity and change and performance management that supports the broader HR and business strategy.

Your key responsibilities will include tasks such as:

  • Provide leadership and expert advice to HR Talent Developers & the senior leadership team on matters of organisational effectiveness including organisational design and health, change management, talent & career management, HR technology, HR analytics, workforce planning and other relevant areas;
  • Lead large cross functional HR projects and innovations within Total Denmark and NSR region;
  • Support the implementation of Better Together, Total’s global people ambition in Denmark;
  • Ensure a thorough, clear and modern talent framework supporting the business to identify, attract, develop and secure the future leaders to enable the business to achieve its ambition;
  • Leverage existing analytic tools and HR metrics and drive digitalization & an innovative mind-set to support effective organisational decision making;
  • Leverage HR technology and IT;
  • Develop people, coach and mentor to build capability, talent and bench strength in the organisational effectiveness function.

As Head of Organisational Effectiveness you will report to the Head of Human Resources and be able to shape and develop the Organisational Effectiveness team of tomorrow. You will direct, develop and lead a team of 6-8 employees to influence the future HR framework and strategy for Total in Denmark. Your team will be responsible for tasks such as talent frameworks, analytics, annual HR activities and projects. In 2019 Total launched its new people ambition “Better Together” and you and your team will be expected to impact and execute the implementation in Denmark.

Candidate profile

Who we are looking for
This position calls for an experienced and strategic leader, who has demonstrated the ability to develop and implement local and global HR solutions to the business based on a sound understanding and articulation of the business context. You are result driven with a focus on continues improvement, which you have proven through successful change management implementations within the business and HR environment in previous roles You are an inspirational leader with the drive and expertise to motivate and develop employees.

Your background and qualifications

  • Relevant MSc degree with senior experience e.g. from a similar position in a major global organisation or management consultancy;
  • Broad and deep HR knowledge and expertise rooted in your understanding of the business need in a complex setting;
  • Comfortable in fast-changing environments; with the ability to take risks and to consider new and untested approaches;
  • Proven track record of developing and coaching teams;
  • Personal drive and a long-term perspective in deliverables;
  • Excellent communication skills and fluency in written and spoken English. Danish and/or French is an advantage.
