BILA A/S is a professional automation company established in Nykøbing Mors in 1988 and is one of Scandinavia’s leading suppliers of automation solutions. BILA is a high-tech company with more than 400 committed employees stationed at 7 different locations in Denmark, Norway and Sweden.
BILA helps customers to optimize their production by means of automation solutions – typically using industrial robots. Their solutions cover everything, from simple automation to optimization of full production lines. BILA is a full-line service provider of consulting, design, development, implementation and subsequent service of robotic facilities. BILA Logistics is a part of BILA A/S and has recently launched a new product called Global AGV. Global AGV is based on an AGV-kit attached to a manual forklift truck which makes it an automatic guided vehicle.
To lead the development and programming of the PLC to the AGV-kit, we are now looking for an Automation Manager.

Do you want to work with the newest software technology within the Automated Guided Vehicle industry? BILA is offering an exciting job with career development possibilities in a dynamic fast-growing company. You will manage and be part of a proactive team of 2 PLC development engineers, whom you can inspire with your drive and technical skills to deliver the high standards BILA is known for. You will be a key player in the full process, including specifications, development, tests, installations and after-sales support.
You will get an important role in the organization, where you with the newest software technology will contribute to the development of BILAS Global AGV products. With a thorough insight and overview of customer orders, you will be responsible for managing the quality, version control and the documentation of the PLC code base as well as managing the product testing process. It is important that you have the knowledge about machine directives and the interest and engagement to follow-up on new control and safety technologies.
To be successful in this role you have a great experience with technical management and manufacturing. You will probably have a bachelor’s degree in Automation Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or other relevant education within electronics, automation or software. You are also experienced within Beckhoff PLC programming. You have an extensive understanding of electrical automation as you have either worked with or have the knowledge about the process at a manufacturing company. You are fluent in Danish and English in both speaking and writing.
As a person you are not afraid to take the lead and guide colleagues to ensure that the team delivers high quality. You are highly organized and thrive when working in a team where you can both inspire your co-workers and get inspired by them. You are motivated by the interaction of software and customers, and you are an enthusiastic team player with a great drive, who shows initiative. Furthermore, you have a hands-on approach, you are independent, self-motivated and able to plan and manage your own activities.
