YOUNG TALENT – PERMANENT WAY OR CIVIL ENGINEER FOR INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECTS
With over 93 offices worldwide, COWI is a global consulting group providing clients with innovative and sustainable solutions to complex situations within transportation, energy, environment, water, industry, buildings, and planning. Our rail team provides 360 degrees service in all phases of railway projects. We are working with feasibility studies, detailed design, execution and handover, and we cower all technical areas as, permanent way, signalling, power supply and catenary design.
With recent project wins and our growing project list, we are looking for civil engineers who could be part of our on-going projects and future projects; DSB new maintenance facilities, future S-trains, renewal of Østerport-Holte, Östlinken high-speed (Sweden), and other smaller and bigger projects.
In addition to the ongoing project there is a large pipeline of infrastructure investments to be done in Denmark over the coming years. The government approved the infrastructure plan 2035 “Danmark Fremad” in 2021 which includes investments in a large railway project.
DESIGN THE FUTURE WITH A GLOBAL TEAM OF EXPERTS
As a young civil engineer, you will join our team of specialists designing a variety of permanent way design. Your role is to learn and assist on the project. You will be working directly on the project alongside the project staff. You will be connected to one of our engineers who will guide and coordinate the work.
You will be exposed to preparation of engineering calculations, drawings, specifications and reports within permanent way design.
You will be working within a multi-disciplinary department however many of our clients are Danish speaking clients, we expect you to speak and write Danish fluently.

- Bachelor degree OR currently studying a Master
- Fundamental knowledge within railway design and specific within permanent way design
- Willingness to learn and be challenged
- Ability to communicate effectively in a Scandinavian and English
