Do you want to direct activities to deliver more sustainable international infrastructure projects? Do you want to document COWIs efforts and communicate the results together with our clients?


A SUSTAINABILITY LEAD ASSESSOR IN AN INTERNATIONAL ENVIRONMENT


You will join an international team working primarily with large and complex infrastructure projects and with a strategic approach to sustainability as our key driver for growth and development.

We offer you a platform to make a significant difference in collaboration with our international team. You will provide expertis e and knowledge within sustainability management and assessment of related efforts on our projects. You will direct the sustainability accreditation process in multi-disciplinary, delivered by teams from offices in different geographies. As a part of our sustainability team across our International Business Line you will initiate and guide knowledge sharing and training within good practice regarding sustainability management, documentation, and accreditation.

On a day-to-day basis you will contribute to:

  • lead sustainability management and certification processes on large and complex infrastructure projects (bridges and tunnels, public transport, and underground utilities)
  • screen bids and projects and in collaboration with colleagues and clients set relevant sustainability goals
  • initiate and inspire project teams to fulfill and document delivery on project sustainability goals
  • systematic follow up on progress and document results
  • develop sustainability management and assessor competencies and systems

As a Sustainability Lead Assessor, you will have the ability to encourage and inspire our colleagues to integrate sustainability initiatives into daily practice. You will keep focusing on the purpose while also celebrating the steps towards the goal.

You have a solid background within infrastructure industry, either as an engineer, architect, or the like, and you have experience with sustainability management and certification processes. You are committed while also pragmatic to allow others to develop at a pace aligned with our strategy and vision on sustainability. You are a concise and effective communicator, and in addition to this, you navigate seamlessly across organisational levels as well as diverse cultural settings.

To become COWI's new Sustainability Lead Assessor you have:

  • +5 years of experience as a Project Manager, designer, or the like in the infrastructure industry
  • a degree in engineering or similar
  • experience with sustainability assessment schemes, for instance CEEQUAL
  • knowledge of ISO standards; ISO14001
  • experience in auditing, internal auditing experience is a minimum requirement
  • experience with improvement techniques, training, or coaching
  • Effective communication skills and professional proficiency in English is a prerequisite.
