JUNIOR STRUCTURAL ENGINEER FOR TUNNEL DEPARTMENT IN LYNGBY
Our tunnel team has a full set of world-class competencies, which in combination with local presence and experience, allow our committed professionals to take on the most complex projects anywhere in the world. We are experienced in all types of tunnels and earth retaining structures needed in sectors ranging from highways, metros, railways, to energy and power, and we cover the entire lifecycle of a project from idea, concept and design to operation and maintenance.

DESIGN THE FUTURE WITH A GLOBAL TEAM OF EXPERTS
In this position, you will join our global team of specialists and work under the guidance of professional engineers. Your primary task in our team is to become an effective part of a highly professional team that provides consulting, project management, and detailed engineering services on numerous tunnel design projects.

- Femern Tunnel: Linking Denmark and Germany it will be the longest immersed tunnel in the world and the largest infrastructure project in Denmark’s history!
- Svanemøllen Stormwater Tunnel in Copenhagen
- Västlänken: Underground railway tunnels and stations in the centre of Gothenburg.
- Fraser River Immersed Tunnel in Vancouver
DESIGN THE FUTURE WITH A GLOBAL TEAM OF EXPERTS
In this position, you will join our global team of specialists and work under the guidance of professional engineers. Your primary task in our team is to become an effective part of a highly professional team that provides consulting, project management, and detailed engineering services on numerous tunnel design projects.
On a day-to-day basis, you will be responsible for:
- Assisting in the development of design from feasibility stage through detailed design, including construction support
- Production of engineering design and detail in accordance with project requirements, applicable codes, standards, and client requirements
- Preparation of calculations, written reports, and checking of contract drawings
- Checking of design calculations and drawings done by other engineers
- Visits to site as required by the project
- Writing technical reports

Furthermore, you should have:
- Master's degree in Civil Engineering or similar
- Solid structural understanding particularly within design of concrete structures
- 2-5 years of experience within structural design
- FEM design experience/knowledge (Abaqus, SoFiSTiK, Robot, STAAD or similar)
- Experience in producing conceptual and detail designs, preparing / checking calculations for a variety of tunnelling / civil engineering structures.
- Soil/structure interaction skills
- Experience with Virtual Programming applications such Grasshopper/Rhino or Dynamo Grasshopper/Rhino or Dynamo is a plus.
- Experience with Revit, Tekla or Civil 3D
- Possess solid analytical ability and a solid understanding of engineering fundamentals and current design standards
- Ability to communicate effectively in a Scandinavian language is an advantage
