Do you want to take part in providing the latest knowledge from academia to Manufacturing Intelligence solutions in Emerging Technologies (ET)? In this role you will do just that. Your master thesis project will help to deepen our ability to transform data into data-driven choices that enable us to capitalise on the key opportunities within our manufacturing processes – whether it be increasing efficiency, decreasing process deviations or enable higher output quality.
If this sounds interesting to you then we have the perfect master thesis position for you! A team of dedicated developers are waiting to welcome you to be part of a collaborative and autonomous workplace, that interacts with various stakeholders across the ET organisation, apply now!
The position
As a master thesis student in MI&XR Development, your project will be centered around the following problem description: This project aims to investigate how to leverage existing data to better understand when to replace spare parts. Currently, there is no easy way to monitor the condition and performance of spare parts, which can lead to equipment breakdowns and deviations from approved processes and standards. This project will:
• Collect data from key spare parts
• Identify patterns and correlations between spare parts’ conditions and machine performance
• Develop an automated approach to spot when spare parts are about to drift out of specs
• Develop predictive models to predict when to change spare parts
• Optimise inventory stock levels The expected benefits include:
• Reduce the amount of equipment break downs
• Understand or prevent unexpected machine down time
• Better understanding of conditions and performance of spare parts Qualifications
• Data engineering
• Production simulation
• ML/ DL About the department The position is anchored in the MI&XR development unit within ET Manufacturing Development and Quality Control, whose key mission is to redefine our manufacturing approach by creating a fully data driven and continuous process for oral tablet formulation and optimise the manufacturing production and analysis from end to end. We aim to create a new paradigm that will alter the approach to drug development by redesigning and digitalising the processes.
Our team consist of 12 highly skilled colleagues with different backgrounds ranging from data scientists, backend developers, frontend developers and data engineers. We work closely together with the MI Product and Strategy team, that provide competencies within the roles of product owners, product managers and UI/UX designers.
With the rapid advancement within data and analytics, we are expanding our team and bringing in new competences and skills. Our ambition is to be the frontier, use the latest techniques and software to draw greater insights and future predictions from the data and thus making a significant impact on how we manage the future manufacturing operation. Working at At , we don't wait for change. We drive it. We're a dynamic company in an even more dynamic industry, and we know that what got us to where we are today is not necessarily what will make us successful in the future. We are anchored on scientific innovation through the power of our diverse differences. We embrace the spirit of experimentation and strive for excellence without fixating on perfection. We never shy away from opportunities to develop, we seize them. From research and development, through to manufacturing, marketing, and sales – we are all working together to advance patient care.
