Overview
We are looking for a new Operational Excellence Manager to join our production site in Roskilde, Denmark.
As our new Operational Excellence Manager, you will lead and facilitate improvement program to gain tangible and measurable business results and create an improvement culture.
How will you make an impact?
Reporting to the Director of Operations (Site Manager), this key leadership role will be accountable for driving a lean and continues improvement culture, using PPI Business System (PPI: Practical Process Improvement). In addition, you will be part of Site leadership team. Key to this position is Role Model Leadership, lean and continues improvement skills, and ability to balance local day-to-day support with committed production and running kaizen events.
What will you do?
• Deploy PPI and Lean Manufacturing / Enterprise initiatives within the site
• Provide leadership in the areas of PPI and Lean by mentoring site teams to deliver results
• Assist in developing site improvement goals and objectives and coordinate and champion activities to meet or exceed those goals
• Manage and facilitate continuous improvement projects and Kaizen events to improve productivity and accelerate growth
• Coordinate the measurement, idea generation, tracking and reporting of PPI savings impact for site
• Provide guidance for chartering of projects and kaizen events
• Implement PPI and Lean Manufacturing practices and tools (5S, Visual Controls, A3, SMED, Flow, GEMBA’s, Standard Work, Error Proofing, etc.)
• Partner with site leadership team to foster ownership and buy in of Continuous Improvement activities within the site
• Ensure there is an active pipeline of PPI projects at site aligned to business priorities, metrics and results. Ensure that there is a solid sustainability mechanism/review for past projects
• Train and coach site resources in the areas of PPI and Lean Enterprise implementation
• Become the “resident expert” for all Continuous Improvement activities within the site
How will you get here?
Education
• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering or equivalent
Experience
• Experienced facilitator
• Experience working with project- and change management
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
• Profound knowledge of Six Sigma and Lean tools, to drive towards high levels of operational excellence
• Possess strong analytic and problem-solving skills
• Ability to set direction, influence and get commitment and alignment with senior management and stakeholders throughout the organization
• Strong leadership, communication and change management skills
