Studiejob - Roskilde
Are you passionate about enabling the transformation of research data into knowledge? Then you should join our digitalization efforts at DTU Bioengineering. DTU Bioengineering is continuously working on strengthening the integration of biology with digital technologies. You will be important in driving activities bridging biotechnology, data science, and automation across the entire department.
What will you be working with?
Our top priority is to maintain and further develop our information data model and the related systems for data capture and data sharing. Our work is to facilitate the capture, harmonization, integration, globalization, and accessibility of Research data produced by our scientists internally and in collaboration with external partners.

But most importantly, we are looking for someone mindful of their code and implementing best practices such as version control and documentation. Who thinks about scalability when developing tools and sees an exciting challenge when facing a problem that can be solved programmatically.
We are not necessarily looking for someone who can fulfill all these requirements. However, if you are not afraid to learn and do not shy away from a challenge, please apply.
Last but not least, you are in the first year of your Masters degree or the final year of your Bachelors, with the plan of enrolling in a Masters right away.

Salary and appointment terms
Salary and appointment terms are in accordance with the OAO-S Joint Agreement and the organization agreement for Office Clerks, Laboratory Technicians and IT staff (HK/stat) or the collective agreement with the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations (AC).
Working hours are on average 11 hours per week and can be organized flexibly in relation to holidays, exams, etc. Starting date is January 1, 2023 (or according to mutual agreement).
The workplace is DTU Lyngby Campus.

What will you be working with?

You’ll thrive in this role if you have:
- The ability to communicate effectively with scientists and IT professionals in writing and verbal communication/presentations.
- Willingness and ability to use various tools in a very heterogeneous environment.
- Knowledge of SQL programming, data modeling, and database design.
- Experience with web development: frameworks and tools.
- Some experience with REST API development
- Programming skills in one or several programming languages: Java, JavaScript, Python, Bash
