Do you want to take part in the software development for advanced machines to inspect e.g. COVID-19 vaccines?
On behalf of Stevanato Group A/S, Randstad is looking for an automation engineer with an interest in software and mechanical engineering for a newly created position in Silkeborg. You will join a team of skilled professionals who deliver state-of-the-art inspection machines to the world's leading pharma companies.
Your day on the job
As an Automation Engineer, you will be part of a specialized team of 24 developers divided into three software teams working across several departments. Your primary task will be to develop and configure software solutions in accordance with the customer's URS (User Requirement Specification) in collaboration with the project team. It is the close, technical collaboration between colleagues that result in successful execution of projects and machines.
In addition, you will:
• Participate in the development of FMEA (failure modes and effects analysis), function and design specifications
• Flow charts and test plans for pre-FAT, FAT and SAT
• Support the run-in team to test the machine and prepare for FAT and SAT
• Attend technical customer meetings and act as a technical sparring partner for the customer
• Scope and document software design
• Participate in the development of the software base on standard products
• Support the sales and system owner in the detailed planning of the project task
The machines and the associated software are built in-house, and the projects typically span over 9-12 months from the first spec phase to final implementation and commissioning at the customer’s. You should expect 15-30 travel days annually.
Personal qualifications
As a person, it is important that you are self-motivated and proactive, and that you have the ability to initiate and approach new tasks. You want to work closely with colleagues, customers and suppliers, and therefore it is important that you thrive on interdisciplinary collaboration and that you are able to listen actively.
Professional qualifications
As an automation engineer, you must have a good technical understanding of machines and servo solutions. You want to work with PLC programming in ST in Automation Studio. It is an advantage if you have experience in reading and translating a URS, just as it is an advantage with knowledge of security. It also gives points if you have tried to work with expectant customers and have attended meetings as an automation engineer. Finally, we expect you to have strong oral and written skills in English.
