Finance Business Process Owner
Demant is looking for a Finance Business Process Owner with an interest in finance processes, accountancy, financial compliance, Finance IT applications, and project management to help ensure global finance processes across different applications and across different business areas and different countries.
The Team
Finance Processes and Projects is part of the Demant global finance organisation and covers employees in both Denmark and Poland. The department currently consists of eleven employees. At this point in time, seven employees are located in Szczecin, Poland and the other employees are in Copenhagen, Denmark.
The primary objective of the Finance process and projects department is to establish and enforce quality, efficiency, and transparency in the finance processes within the Demant Group. To achieve this, you will together with colleagues in both Denmark and Poland focus on the following areas:
• Monitor and support finance processes in our global finance applications
• Support local entities with special projects to help them improve their finance function and processes
• Create and maintain global finance documentation
• Design and implement improvements to existing processes globally
• Organize training for finance users all over the world (online and onsite)
• Act as expert on various parts of Finance processes
The ideal candidate understands the complexity between financial compliance and business needs and work proactively and independently to find the right solution.

What is the job about?
You will be working closely with both the FP&P team, Financial Controlling, the different business areas, and stakeholders in the local markets.
Demant has embarked on a journey of implementing a new global financial compliance framework and purchase order functionality while continuing our roll out of standardised ERP, T&E and invoice processing systems. At the same time different customers facing applications are implemented. To strengthen this effort, we are looking for an employee to work closely with our local entities to support them in being part of this journey and developing best in class local finance functions.
Your responsibility as Finance Business Process Owner will be to help drive this change, and to ensure a dedicated effort in adhering to both accounting rules, internal processes and ensuring business needs.
You will report directly to a member of our Finance Management team in Copenhagen, Senior Director Jacob Hedegaard, who is responsible for both Finance Processes and Project and Finance Shared Services.
Due to the projects running in different countries, and the international character of the team, some travelling should be expected.
Who are we looking for?
• Very good English skills (written and spoken)
• Experience with finance process optimisation and compliance
• Experience with international project management and stakeholder management in a matrix structure preferred
• Degree in finance or accounting, and with some interest in or experience with IT
• Experience with AX an advantage, and experience with Concur and PO processes preferred
• Experienced user of MS Office suite (Outlook, Excel, SharePoint, PowerPoint)
