Manager for M&A and Strategic Projects
Join Demant’s M&A team as we continue our ambitious growth strategy with a strong focus on global acquisitions and strategic projects to support our purpose of helping people with hearing loss.
As part of the M&A team, you will work with all aspects of the acquisition process as well as managing strategic projects to continue the substantial growth and development of the Demant group. In our team we manage large and strategically important deal processes and organic business development affecting the group as well as supporting on the large volume of transactions occurring locally in the individual countries.
End to end responsibility with international focus
You will be part of a small dynamic M&A team with close contact to top management and a direct dialogue with the global Demant organization. The role is highly international, and you will work with acquisitions and projects around the world.
“We really mean it when we say that 2 days here are never the same. We have a high deal flow, and that means you will manage both acquisitions ranging from single retail outlets to large international corporations. Some will take a few weeks, where you will have end to end responsibility, and some will take months, where we work as a team and collaborate with a lot of stakeholders.” says our Vice President, M&A and Integration, Rasmus Søndergaard Møller.
One part of your area of responsibilities will be to manage mergers and acquisitions (M&A) processes – due diligence, valuation, negotiating and structuring – through our local organizations and on a global level. Another area of responsibility will be to work on a more strategic level, where you will prepare and present acquisition opportunities to the Demant management team.
Some of your key tasks will be to:
• Manage M&A processes – due diligence, valuation, negotiating and structuring – through our local organizations and on a global level
• Integrate acquired companies in the corporate structure and processes of Demant
• Work with the global Demant organization to attract and retain strategic customers through financial support arrangements
• Portfolio management of entities in local organizations and run governance and pipeline management for transactions in local organizations
• Financial modelling and business case development
• Market and competitor intelligence
We are supporting +30 countries and 10 - 20 travel days especially to the US and in Europe must therefore be expected per year.
Stakeholder Management is KEY
This position offers the opportunity to obtain international experience by working on M&A projects in many different countries and to be an integrated part of the whole M&A process following projects from the very initial identification stage all the way to the completion of integration process and post-acquisition follow-up. You will report to the Vice President, M&A & Integration.

The ideal candidate strives for a career within business strategy and management. Your experience could come from corporate finance, management consulting or an international organization where your focus has been on business development, business strategy or M&A. We expect that you have:
- Years of experience in working with M&A, corporate finance, business development or business strategy
- A strong analytical mindset with solid stakeholder management capabilities
- Experience with business case development and presentation is required, financial modelling experience is a plus
- a degree within strategy, finance, accounting or business - preferably as cand.merc, cand.oecon or similar
To succeed in this position you are self-driven, proactive, and dynamic and find it easy to establish and maintain personal relations across a large and global organization with multiple interfaces on different levels of the organization. You have furthermore a high level of integrity and systematic approach to all your tasks.
