We are looking for a Commercial Director in the Hearing Instrument Group in Demant. You will play a key role in driving our business forward by working directly with the International Sales Management, local Sales Companies globally as well as the Hearing Instrument Group centrally.

Join our Commercial Operations team

As the Commercial Director, you will be a part of our Commercial Operations team in the Hearing Instrument Group (HIG) and you will enter the Commercial Operations Leadership Team.

The Commercial Operations team consists of Commercial Directors, Marketing activation, our Strategic account and Private label team, Tender management, Global Training & Sales enablement, and Events & visits. The area’s role is to lead and support our efforts in exploiting the full hearing aid wholesale’s potential across multi-brands, markets, and customers.
In your new role, you will be the key interface between the Hearing Instrument Group, International Sales Management, and the Sales Companies. You will work closely together with the commercial management teams in your assigned markets around the world where your key task is to drive that the global brand strategies are successfully implemented, help define and drive implementation of the strategic growth initiatives and ensure a good link between markets and central on product and operational topics.

Moreover, you will lead indirectly through the matrix. However, your work is guided by a good collaboration model and governance that ensures that you sit at the right fora and meeting structures are in place.

Your focus will be on:

• your assigned markets; namely Asia (mainly China and Japan) and the Nordic markets
• initiating and driving projects that you have been part of defining through our Commercial Planning process.
• ensure that the global brand & marketing strategies are successfully implemented, drive definition and implementation of the strategic growth initiatives, and ensure a good link between markets and central on product and operational topics.
• representing all four Hearing Instrument Brands in your markets
• share best practices across countries to bridge the collaboration between the countries and our HQ functions, hereby ensure structured feedback to the central organization, importantly marketing, product & portfolio, quality, and operations
• participating in customer events in your assigned markets and hosting customer visits in Denmark

How to succeed in this role

We expect you to have an international business background and an education on Master level. You have worked with sales/ marketing/ business development in a global company for min. 5+ years or potentially worked as a management consultant and are seeking to move to the industry side. Experience in working with Asian countries like China & Japan will be seen as be a big plus.

You are a good listener and possess people skills enabling you to drive projects in a matrix organisation with many stakeholders across multiple sites. You are organized, self-driven, with an entrepreneurial and curious mind-set. As a person, you act in an enthusiastic way and strive to add value through your strong business focus and strategic toolbox. It is important that you get motivated by designing, but also taking an active part in ensuring implementing of the local plans.

Your strategic toolbox will allow you to execute on the global brand strategies and strategic growth initiatives together with the rest of the team.
The hands-on experience will be applied via coaching and deployment of the commercial plans and project manage initiatives. We guarantee a steep learning curve where you will quickly understand the complexity of our business and the depth of the products.

We will look for your ability to build professional relationship and approach your stakeholders with openness and curiosity. You are motivated by using your expertise and experience to guide and coach business professionals.

Our company language is English, and you can expect about 40-60 business travel days per year.
